Is it a keeper? I am in the middle of downloading it right now and I hear a lot of talk about it. It looks like its in the early stage of open beta. The download file is HUGE.
Will your beta characters transfer over into the official game when it launches?
Any tip?
Pros and Cons?
What makes this game diffrent from the others?
Thanks for your time!

If you know what game you're looking for I suggest searching under that games forums for opinions instead of asking people to repeat themselves. The first two threads in the Runes of Magic forums on this website both talk about what people think about the game. Anyways to answer your questions...

    - Yes, your character will be kept/transferred over into the official game when it launches.

    - If you like WoW you will more than likely enjoy this game.

    - Pros and cons vary from person to person. So to be more accurate you would have to ask a specific question on something you're curious about.

    - This game's cash shop items aren't mandatory to progress and they do not unbalance the game in any way.

Well it's free so no reason not to at least try it :)
IMO it's a keeper. It's far better than anything else out there I've seen that's F2P. It's actually better than most P2P MMO's I've played and has a certain charm to it that keeps me coming back so far.

By no means is it an OMFG AWESOME game but it's a solid title, especially considering it's a f2p.

    My feelings on it are:
It was worth downloading and it fits in the budget with no pain :)

It's a good game, in general and in particular, as I've seen since closed beta to the open beta. Yes, your char will remain on release. No pain betagrindig out to nothingness. As my budget is not so good as it was two years ago, and I'm not an exception --- or at least so do i think -- in the case, trying a f2p that presents the good average features of Runes Of Magic is worth the try. And furthermore, for my taste, it has some special charm that will keep me playing it for long time. Don't ask me what is it but I'm in the PvP server as i do love open PvP but people is not flaming or calling you n00b neither the l33ts have made appeareance; community is good and it does a game rich.

Now is your turn to try it and opine for yourself.

It is a question of fangs.
