Resident Evil : Apocolypse

 Has anyone seen this movie yet? I'm wondering wether or not to go. I will most likely end up going because every other movie that came out this month looks awful.

 But it would be nice to hear from someone what they thought of it.

    Havent seen it yet, but the RE movies are totally ruining the great reputation the series has. The first one was crap, and this new one looks like Charlies Angels with zombies... oh, and another thing... WHY IS CARLOS WHITE?!?!?! HE'S A FREAKING MEXICAN IN THE GAME! also, that damn Milla Jonkowonk or whatever her name is has to be the worst thing they ever did to the movie, okay, in the first she was some dumb chick who "lost her memory" (how many times has that scenario been played out! image) Now shes some kung-fu dumb chick with superhuman strength who teams up with "characters" (if thats what you'd like to call them, id have to say these people are KILLING they're ingame characters in every sense of the word) from past RE games. Personally, i hope this movie is out of theaters in a week, and i hope everyone who worked on both movies is killed, brought back to life, then killed again. image

    Dude, the first movie was pretty good, and Jovovich was pretty good in it, and she's also really hot. So is Rodrigues. Now what was your problem again  ? They didnt conform to a mediocre videogame enough for you ?

     Agreed. Jovovich and Rodrigues fit perfectly for the parts. I had a great time seeing the first movie. I didn't look for deep storyline, great dialogue... I got the same enjoyment out of this movie as i got out of the game. Zombie action.

     I think i will go see the second in the theatres tomorrow.

         So far i have only heard good reviews on this movie but tomorrow i find out how good it accually is. I will post on here tomorrow with how I thought it was. One thing that is nice is that even if it is a bad movie I don't have to pay to go so thats nice.

         As for the first movie....it was alright i thought that the story line was interesting and yes i have played the game before but i wasn't expecting the movie to be exactly like the game. I mean pic one movie the was a game first that accually followed it completely...is there any? I don't think so but i'd love to be proved wrong.

    going to watch this when i go on vacation in about 5 days, i loved the first one, and the reviews/previews on this looked great.

    Just got back from my trip to Resident Evil: Apocalypse, the followup to Paul Anderson's barely succesful take on the videogame franchise. For the sequel, they evidently handed the reins over to his 13 year old A.D.D.-afflicted nephew who had never seen a movie before, except for the original film, Dawn Of The Dead, and Escape From New York. No matter how low you're expectations are for it, it still won't hold up. As if 1000 zombies were operating the cameras, the movie goes on slow as the camera follows the characters slowly, obviously an attempt to make the main characters look cool and smooth while the rest of the movie screamed for the anticlimactic end, which set fire to the sack of rabbit poo that was Resident Evil: Apocalypse.

    RE:A was HORRIBLE, the only thing that made the movie somewhat decent was mike epps was one funny bitch, nemesis was a little bitch, the acting for the most part was horrible, it was very very sad, i was upset, but im still glad i went to see it. if you saw and loved the first, youll most likly not care for this one, i sure as hell didnt.

         My take on Resident Evil: Apocolypse was that is was not that bad of a movie I will agree that the first Redident Evil was better but I think that this movie aimed for the people who love action. For anyone who played the Resident Evil game series will notice right away that the movie's don't seem to have much of a connection with the games.

         Durring the movie one thing you'll notice is that the main char. Alice is a super overpowered women that has a major case of PMS. This movie seemed like it was trying to scare people but honestly I laughed more than anything. I would have to say that on a scale of 1-10 this movie deserves a 7.6 for not being a horrible movie but still not quite living up to it's name.

    i dont even think the movie is out yet is it? well in usa it isnt. it looks good in away but in away not but hte only way to tell if you like it is to watch it cuz you will hear from some peeps that they liked and that they didnt but you will never know unless you check it out your self.image

    Some small flaws I found with the movie

      -There is no Clair Redfeild, Chris Redfeild or Leon, and they are the main characters -Nikolai doesn't get killed by dogs he gets killed by Nemisis -Forest Spencer the sniper is killed by something in the mansion not Nemisis with a bazooka -The S.T.A.R.S team does not get mowed down by Nemisis, they die in various ways at the mansion -Oh and who is alice, apparently she is the main character in the Resident Evil movie and she has super human skills, but I recall no alice in the resident evil series -And they tried to fit the first 3 games into one movie
        This is a bad movie if you have never played  Resident Evil, but if you have then it is even worse, I don't think I have seen such a bad movie in a long time

       Whew, my brother warned me not to go see it. Just as i was about to leave for the movie he gave me a call image.

       I think i'll check out "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" though, it looks pretty cool.

      dont see resident evil, its crap, saw it friday, i guess u could like it but its just nonsense, kill everything you see.

      But there are some good ones out...i saw hero 2 times this week, prolly one of the best movies ive ever seen.  Yes there are subtitles but it was fantastic, amazing images, great action.  very deep movie

           All of you whome are bashing the movie...you sound as if you expected it to be perfect. Tell me one movie based of a game or book for that matter that was perfect??? The movie had some flaws yes...but it wasn't that bad of a movie. The main char. was to overpowered but made things interesting. The people were killed in different ways than in the games but yet they way they were killed was kinda funny or kinda cool. Not everyone who played or didn't play the game thought it was bad or even worse than bad. So your opinion is your own and you are entitled to it, but here is my opinion and i hope that this wont offend anyone in any way.

      Lord of the Rings movie was not perfect. In fact it was very flawed compared to the books. I think some of the characters weren't portrayed to well. And the storyline wasn't as deep.

      I haven't seen the movie myself but my g/f went to see it and she has never played Resident Evil. She liked the movie but when I was listening to her talk about the storyline of the movie I almost broke down in tears. From the sounds of it it wasn't anything like the games. Sure the first one was like, cram games 1 and 2 together, take out all the characters from the games, throw in new ones that no one really cares about and make a really strange emotional chick as the kick ass heroine that blows away zombies...though there wasn't much of that.

      All that said I liked the first movie, it brought the games to life. In the second movie I was hoping for a more game-related storyline. I definately won't see it in theatres but I'll probobly rent it. I guess to be fair to the movie makers a movie about a chick running around looking for keys to random doors that you could just kick down wouldn't make a very interesting tale but *sniffle* they could have done better. :P

      Firstly I sure hope your joking...secondly pokemon is mainly an anime not a game though I suppose if you count the manga as a comic book it could be a book. :P
