If i may pinch a few moments of your time im debating comming back to the land of WAAAAARRRRRR!
I have a BW around mount level.. forgot what level i left on?! but ive heard to the shock that BW was handed the nerf bat...
I normally play a caster but debating wether its time for a change . I like to play a class that is usefull and needed in a group aka always find it easy to get a group!! yet able to suceed easily enough while solo!
Im also looking for a active server/guild if any one is recruiting here

Iron Breaker, Knight or even WP, would be a switch form caster. As far as servers, Phoenix Throne, Praag, Dark Crag -- all very active. When you choose one, just look for one which is med/med even in non primetime and you will be fine.
If you enjoy casters but want to be more desired, consider an Archmage. Order is ALWAYS short on healers, and the AM gets to do some damage as well as heal.
You will be one of the very first targets on the PvP field, but if you played a BW before, you should be no stranger to that.
Could be intersting playing a healer, can they quest ok when not pvp'ing and at least take a few hits to try get out of the situation ?
I enjoyed BW because i was able to do damage from range yet use some silky skills like the fire cage to trap targets while i access the situation.
How is the population for tanks? I would of chose destruction but see'ing as most say its lack of order i would probably 80% chose the faction with less numbers to help out
Yeah, they quest fine - better than Rune Priests, probably not as good as a Warrior Priest, though. They have some good detaunts and such for PvP, but they are probably the squishiest of the healers.
Tank population for Order is, IMO, about right now with the influx of Knights of the Burning Sun. And the server population is virtually always stacked on the Chaos side.
Try them all.
I have played for a long time, and I am still swapping between the many classes. But, if you want to be a hybrid class which is capable of doing some stuff solo on, be a Disciple of Khaine, or a Warrior Priest. And yes, even though Order is outnumbered mostly, play the class you like the looks of, and mechanics of. It is stupid to pick a class others want you to play, because, as the system is set up, you will be usefull.
Because of the various roles/abilities the classes possess, it is better to have a group of RDPS, MDPS, Healer, Tank, than; 2x Tank, 2x healers.
Also, the tank classes in this game are really fun to play as, I really like my tank classes.
But thats just my oppinion.
First things first. Badlands is an incredible server. There are several guilds that do really well in mid to high tier'd combat, best thing to do is to get out there and see who fits your organizational standards.
BW is still a very powerful class. But if you want utility and not be a stunty, I'd say Kotbs or White Lion. Both are incredible classes.
I have all of my pvp influence gear for my tier on a Kotbs and the guy is simply unstoppable 1v1 or 3v1. White lions just have that badass cat and do a ton of damage if played properly.
There's also warrior priest but that class almost plays itself.
