hello, im here with another poll of th game with the best PvP, please vote, and if you choose other please tell the game you think has the best PvP

    Ragnarok Online - War of the Emperium

     

    the RO guild wars were some of the most memorable PvP experiences i've had.

    If the game wasn't such a grindfest i'd go back to it in an instant.

    Guild wars!!

    Playing: WoW and Guild wars faction.
    waiting on: GW2 and next WoW expansion =)
    played: flyff, diablo2, maplestory, dungeon runners, eudemons online, conquer online, runescape, decide online, perfect world, and atlantica.

     Tie between Knight Online and runescape, any that has played KO and Runescape back in their good days will know what im talking about :)

    Currently restarting World of Warcraft :/

    Lineage 2 or EVE then GW is a close second...GW is behind L2/EVE because its clan based matches are just bragging rights or for the sake of rankings, while in L2 or EVE you are doing hardcore PvP over real accomplishments in game (raid bosses, castles, systems, etc.....and the bragging rights are still there)

    WAR, AoC and WoW are not pvp games. Their founded PvE games with a friggin switch for girly men to throw when their bored; no contect, consequences, purpose or game-play fun.

    Quoted for epic truth...AoC is more PvP than the other 2, but WoW/WAR are PvE games with PvP as a feature you can do when you feel like it.

    I liked the PvP in Asheron's Call better than the PvP in any of those games.

    I haven't seen an online game that did PvP really well since Infantry, but with that game a hollow shell of its former self, if you want a game that does PvP really well today, you're probably out of luck.  And that wasn't an MMORPG to begin with, either.

    PvP in most MMORPGs is just a contest of whoever is higher level (or higher attributes, better gear, or whatever) wins.  Sometimes instead it's, whichever side can get more players in an area at once wins.  None of those are interesting.

    Guild Wars does all right with PvP, I guess, but I haven't seen any other MMORPG that does PvP in a way that isn't clearly inferior to that.

    Who ever dont pick Ultima Online didnt play it, period. And it dont count if you played it after the year 2000.

    my definition of a PvP Game is a game that revolves around soley PvP, not a game that as a PvP feature.

    I disagre, warhammer is a pvp game. The PvE is sort of tacked on. You might not like how they have implemented it but I can log in and pvp the entire night without ever touching PvE if I don't want. And level and get rewards.

    I prefer 2.5D pvp over 3D pvp.

    AC's pvp was awesome back in the day and no MMO to date has been able to duplicate it.   You could dodge spells!  That was awesome! 

    But I would have to say that for all out PvP in an MMORPG my vote goes to oldschool PLANETSIDE.

             I did play it....IMO PVP both players should have about an even chance to win....Most PVp nowadays is about stealth and getting a huge advantage so teh other player has no chance......Most players never had a chance in UO and it was rarely ever even............It isnt PVP if one player has no chance....... Also the graphics were terrible in UO.

    this poll sucks. you cant have a poll for best pvp game without the best pvp games. imo r DAoC and shadowbane. yet you have eq2 up there and eq2s pvp is sooooo horrible its a joke.

    I voted for EVE, but I might have voted for DAoC if it was up there. As I didn't play UO (started with EQ a few weeks after it released), I can't comment but of course I've heard good things.

    Hopefully Darkfall will offer a fun pvp setting.

    Edit: Oh, and I find it hilarous that anyone voted for WoW.

    And to respond to:

    AC's pvp was awesome back in the day and no MMO to date has been able to duplicate it. You could dodge spells! That was awesome!

     

    You will be able to dodge spells, arrows, and melee in Darkfall.

    Well i guess somebody has to stand for this game: Other- Matrix Online.

    The interlock system,while not perfect, adds quite a bit to PvP combat especially if your into martial arts....imho I've yet to see any other system match how fast and fluid MxO can be.

    Too bad the rest of the game is mediocre at best.

    I have to vote for my own product, DarkSpace, although GuildWars and Warhammer both do PvP very well.

    Lineage II of course, may be because is the only FFA and open world i have played.

    Guild Wars does PvP in an above average fashion, in my opinion.  Not the best, but definitally better that many mainstream PvP systems.

     

    Other games should strive to meet or exceed Guild Wars' pvp system if they want to have sucessful, good PvP.  Exceeding would be better, but I think it's difficult since innovation is extremely rare these days.

    UO back in its early days....No hot bars...no auto target lock...NO SPAMMING SKILLS / ABILITES. Equipment wasnt a "big" issue.
