Ecco, the quality of your posts has truly degraded. It's almost become painful to watch other posters tell you the exact same things about your behaviour here as I have in the past. Might I suggest (again) that you stop taking everyone else's opinion on various issues so personally and contribute to the conversation without the seemingly random angst and anger that you seem to have for various personages in the MMO industry? You have shown at one time that you are an intelligent man and can take part in rational discourse. This kind of angry lashing-out cannot be any fun for you. I can understand the behaviour from some of the teenagers that post here. You do not have the luxury of that excuse.
A sense of humor might help, as well, but I would not want to ask too much.
For the record, from what I have read just yesterday based on a talk Garriot gave the day before, he has no firm plans in place to return to gaming - he has stated that he would "like" to, and that were EA to allow him to work on an "ultima" project (EA owns the rights) he would like to do so (not commenting either way if it would be an MMO or a single-player game)
Not to beat a dead Sarnak, but while chastising another poster here who replied to one of your posts, you said:
"I am no fanboi I simply enjoy following mmo development and playing mmos but I do my research before making my comments." (Italics mine)
Took me less than a minute to find the link to the GAMESPY interview:
Finally, in your rush to display your righteous anger to everyone here, you misread my "fanboi" comment. It was not about RMT or those who support RMT in general, but rather it was my rejection of the manner in which some of those who support RMT behave (you may have noticed that, in my very next paragraph, I repudiated the behaviour of some of the anti-RMT people as well. That comment passed without rising your ire, obviously).
I stated:
"However, I am not so much a fanboi that I cannot see why other paying customers are upset that SOE would extend their RMT program outside the realm of "fluff" (ie, non game-affecting items) and into items that certainly DO provide an edge for those players who enrich the coffers at SOE."
To take it slowly (try to control your blood pressure, think of the children!) my view is that anyone who would dismiss, out of hand, the valid point that SOE has already introduced items that affect game-play, despite the promise that they would not, has to be a "fanboi" who cannot stand to admit that anything that SOE does can in any way, shape or form be in error because he or she has their own ego and self-image tied to the fate of an online game company through the medium of a games discussion board.
Oh. Sorry.
In any case, I hope at some point you take the advice of some of us here and return to posting thoughtful and measured opinions on the topics introduced without giving in to the weakness of pique and anger. Not only is it "Not About You"(tm), but Richard Garriot is not out to get you or wreck the online gaming industry either.

Not only is it "Not About You"(tm), but Richard Garriot is not out to get you or wreck the online gaming industry either. No, really. He's not. I know that to be a fact! The aliens he met in space told me so!
Lol, You really think this angers me? I did not take your comment personnally. Anger? What anger?
The whole Garriot thing was a joke. Since he flips flops so much and in my opinion let down his Tabula Rasa fans, by not completing the game and putting his efforts into space rather then the game he sold us. I say "us" since I bought and subscribed to it for months. He himself has said it cost him most of his fortune. You really are off base if you think anything you write, whether I agree or disagree with it upsets me or gets my blood pressure going. Killing Order in WAR gets my bloodpressure going not anything I read here.
According to the mouth of the beast, Richard “Lord British” Garriot is looking to start work on another MMO, this time a medieval fantasy one after the commercial failure that was Tabula Rasa (which was a sci-fi game).
BBC News ran a feature where they talked to various developers about 2008 and what’s to come in 2009 and the former Astronaut Richard Garriot had this to say,
“After 25 years at Origin, the last thing I wanted to make was yet another medieval fantasy game. Now, after a very interesting break, I’m keen to get back into the fray and work on a new game. Probably medieval fantasy and probably online; there’s something very powerful about getting people together.”
Anger at mmo personages? Ummm you do realize I am the one that has been defending SOE and Smed in reguards to the original topic?
Okay Ecco, whatever you say. You're not angry and you never take anything here personally. It's all these other people who've commented on your posts and your whining that are wrong. It's okay. We know. It'll be just fine.
It's not you. Really.
But, in the interest of being fair, let's take a look at what you wrote to me about Richard Garriot just this morning. You said:
"He also announced that he will be making another game and suprise (sic), it will be a fantasy based mmorpg."
Now, I produced a link to an interview that Garriot gave 2 days ago that completely refutes that statement you've made. In response, you produce a link to a BBC article that...
...wait for it...
...completely refutes that statement you made.
The BBC artice states:
"...former Astronaut Richard Garriot had this to say,
“After 25 years at Origin, the last thing I wanted to make was yet another medieval fantasy
game. Now, after a very interesting break, I’m keen to get back into the fray and work on a new game. Probably medieval fantasy and probably online; there’s something very powerful about getting people together.”
Okay, follow along now (think of the children):
So we go from an MMO pioneer (Garriot) stating that he is "keen" (ie. he has a desire) to get back to work in the industry, and that his interest and past history will lead him to "probably" return to medieval fantasy genre and that his effort will "probably" be in an online medium...
...to your straight up asserstion that there is a statement from Richard Garriot that he will be making another game and that it will be a fantasy-based MMO.
This, of course, is partly what I mean when I say your posting quality has degraded. I refuse to believe that as an adult, you would post untrue information in order to impotently lash out in some sort of pique with some fellow who once made a game that you once played in and now he no longer is connected with the game so it is closing down and you will not get to play the online game you wanted to... or something. It really doesn't matter because that is not the case.
It is important to remember, I think, people posting here and others who agreed with those posting when they told the SWG people to "get over it".
Irony, 'aint it grand?
Nonetheless I am still holding out hope that you will return to the form you once had in your posts (your replies concerning the character-class question in another thread are a good example of this, bravo!) and that we can again have discourse without having to worry about setting you off on a post because you misread something here or on a BBC website.

You do realize the Garriott thing was a joke right?
Why would you or anyone else here worry about anything I say? These are just forums on mmos and I come here to be entertained. I truely enjoy this and never get angry over it. You can believe that or not but it is true. You do realize sometime I say provocative things to keep the discussion going and keep it interesting because this is entertainment for me. I love reading the stuff people here write, including you. I respond to interesting things people write. I do not presume to know what you are really feeling. How could I based on a few words written on a game forum. If you feel I misread and misunderstand your comments why do you even bother responding to me? You can just ignore my comments. Believe me if you did I would not take it personnally, I probably would not even notice.
You are right. Sometimes I just can not help myself, sorry. For some reason the way I write on these forums people like to come after me. I should just let it go but sometime it is relentless and entertaining so I like to respond.
