I think the OP is doing it really, really wrong, there is no other explanation. As nothing he has posted is in the realm of reality.
Well, I suppose it depends. Some of his (her?) points are subjective.
For instance, though crafting is not a huge moneymaker I can make a decent amount (read: enough for my needs not to be rich) selling ingots on the AH.
And though I do have a Guardian, I probably play differently than most guardians as I'm only a guardian because it's a tough solo character. When I do group I enjoy it very much and if I wipe several times I then spend a day or two making ingots or grinding a bit for money (coming from Lineage 2 I'm pretty much immune to grind by now) and then ready to group again. So I think if one is having money issues they need to prepare a bit. Maybe spend a whole week just on making money to support other type of play.
I can't speak about the customer support as I seldom need it. However I submit bug reports as bug reports, I don't contact gm's about bugs. So it depends on what issue the op is having. gm's generally don't help with bugs though they might be able to find out if you were to get a certain item from finishing a quest and you didn't.
I disagree about his/her adventurer statment. I can basically alleviate goblins or trolls of their money very easily. That is actually on way I make my money. I go into Goblin Town, explore, collect stuff, leave, sell the vendor trash and then do it again. I find this amazingly fun. I have been doing this in Moria now as well. I believe you can be an adventurer and make money provided that you also balance out your large instance quest stuff, otherwise you might spend more than you make. But isn't real life like this?
I'm a very casual LOTRO player and I have no problems with the game. I also don't do certain things very often because of it but as long as I'm ok with it then it works for me. In general I just explore and do the quests that I find. Occassionally helping others or grouping with others.
But I can see where a person might run into difficulties if they want to do all the new instances and larger raid content and they are not willing to balance that with money making play time.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
It is time to really look at the game, and see sopme of the biggest faults in how Turbine went about producing and pushing the content. 1. Costumer in-game support is clueless at the high end game. They have no one single idea of what your trying to tell them about a bug in a quest. This is a huge fail, and it has completely changed my veiw on questing. Pretty much done questing. never had to deal with CS so no idea 2. The economy, is fucked. Not only am I pennyless in the game, I can't not advance forword in the story because of armor repair cost . sent PM 3. Gaming as a melee player not a crafter, your fucked . The economy is crafting dependant, ifgf you dont craft or prosect, your fucked, you can't just be an adventure in this game and expected to get ahead , it won't happen. sent PM 4. Over all game direction is fucked. Not only is this becoming a cliche mmo, they have completly moved away from supporting Monster play in any way. TThe instancesin moria, are not what I wanted to play in a casual game, it takes way to mucvch time to get anything done, and it has really pushed a lot of people who liked the fun aspect of not making a jjob to play , play.. At 60 , this game is a job now, and I'm pretty burned out of getting into games like this. take a break. I told you a while back you are suffering burn out, go play Eve, EQII, or even AoC a while 5. A lot, Alot of people are thinking it, but i'm the only one saying it , it would seem. Pretty much going to be done playing this title , and moving to something that will stick to what the enitial audeidence wanted and not push out some of the ccliche shit that Ive been playing through in moria. It has become an armor / weapon get game, and for me in this part of my mmo gaming life ,just is not aenough. after 10+ years of MMOS, my opinion is they are all grinds. MMOs = money and time sinks.MMOs are for socialization- period. I play with a core group of people I have been gaming with since DAoC's release. We have went through DAoC, Horizons, SWG, and EQII together and I know them as well as I know my own brother. Now we are in LoTRO, but if history is a example sooner or later we will move on.
My over all veiw on the game hasnt changed, I think it is a great game(greatst game) and worrth a try if you like standard mmo's, but I won't let what i think are the weakests points so far after 2 years go unsaid. Good Luck .
good luck to you too Solareus , wherever your gaming takes you
