Well not quite a "whole" tier, Apparently the only tech 3 stuff will be ships up to cruiser size, nothing bigger yet on release. There is no mention yet about T3 modules either
Also, we dont know what kind of maturation process T3 will have.. I will probably be MANY months before you have the skills to manufacture T3, never mind FLY T3 ships.
So yes, exciting times ahead.. but dont get too excited, youll end up being disapointed.
thats great that gives me something to work toward and if T3 is only cruiser size atm im fine with it. to be totally honest using ships the size of cruisers and below were the most fun I had in Eve.
So Eve isn't a successful company? thier game hasent risen in activity in subs every day since day 1? See this thing is Eve is a good game and with a game box more people will try the game, who wouldn't with a 19.99 price point? this is a good move by atari Imo Just if the fanbois alone that play the game buy a box just to have one it will be a success. Hell im going to buy one because i prefer to have a physical box instead of redownloading my Eve client over and over everytime i put together a new system. And god forbid CCP adds in like a special item either physical or ingame there wont be one person not chelling out 20 bucks to get it. So I dont see how brining up a few of CCPs passed problems directly relates to Ataris partnership being a failure. Hell man im going to get the box just to keep it as a collector.
EvE isn't a company CCP is , EvE is the game's name lol, anyways EvE was , and is good, but it hasn't risen in subs that much until maybe 2 years, before it it was 12 - 20 K people MAX on good days, it started rising even more after their STEAM move, wich was good but then again, having a bit past 250K subs per se means nothing as a big chunk of them is alt related and another considerable portion are players that just login, change skill, logoff so you don't have 250K active accounts about 180K or something around those lines.
And btw, buying the box means that you will have to redownload every patch and every new build that comes around with new expansions, see upto a certain point its good to have the boxed game, and yes i'll have it for the sake of my scifi games colection having one more title gaining dust in the shelves, but after a while it is better to download the whole client with all patches already included for the sake of client integrity.
You don't see the problems that afflicted EvE for the sake of not caring, i enjoy EvE but i want CCP to improve not the sorry display of laxity they unfortunately have accostumed us to.

I feel CCP, as a company is definatly improving! - considering they now have 400 staff worldwide with 300 of them working on EVE the company itself is definatly improving.
As for CCP's game, Eve, I agree.. Quantum Rise could hardly be called an 'Expansion'. However! If you watch all the Fanfest Video's it seems that EVE's improvments are mainly behind the scenes. Balancing, tweaking improving performance, improving code and setting the database so that it can work with all the new hardware they are putting in.
Apocrypha looks to have a lot of improvments and content for the end user - Cant wait for Epic story lines

Way to slam the dude for a Ccp/Eve typo...... ( hate typo police). Also your "most account are alts" holds no weight since CCP has already stated that only about 16% were alts and that has dropped since the ghost training fix. Both statements are on the eve site look around.
Anyway all you guys are really doing is guessing about the sub numbers only thing we do know is that the game has risen in activity. so there really isnt any reason to debate anything until CP releases real numbers. We don't know that Eve will only have the original client it may contain all patches leading up to the march expansion.... who knows. since we don't have a physical box yet you cant really say that.
Ccp has problems? cant be that bad since the game is one of the best alternatives to the mega romper room World of Warcraft.

what could we want morethen to fully customize spaceships!!!
Space dragons... err... whales.
I doubt T3 will impact me much since it'll be mostly not allowed in Factional Warfare if they extend current plex mechanics to apply to T3 - T3 frigs will be allowed in the majors, with everything still being allowed in the fairly rare Unrestricted level complexes. The majority of the fighting will still be T1/T2 frigs and T1 cruisers.
Other things sound interesting though.. I got some Storefront ideas I'd like to try out...

No ambulation yet? Wasnt it supposed to hit the game around december 2008 ? Grrr.. Tech3 buggy crap meaningless expansion.
current eve players dont really give a shit about ambulation, tech 3 however is fappable. meaningless? i think not.
o'rly.. guess the fact that i been playing eve almost since game started doesnt count nor the opinion of the 'n' ppl i play with daily.

While I dont play eve currently, I certainly am looking forward to M10 expansion, and ambulation which should follow in the expansion after.
So before calling me a troll or a retard you and the other basement pubbies should start by going out into the street and smell the roses, EvE may have what it takes to be a good game but it has a very very very poor Dev and Support team.
If you don't want to be properly labeled a troll you should give some reasons why CCP is somehow worse than others.
Bugs and exploits? I know people abusing bugs in WoW that have been there since release, and I'm willing to bet you're like the most others who think the CS sucks in EVE because you didn't get a ship back you think you should've been given.
Because Eve is just one server you always hear about people with problems more often. So it just "seems" like EVE is worse than everyone else, but actually they are no better t everyone else.

well, if you ignore all the accusations against ccp employees, and stick to only what ccp has admitted to-- yeah, staff has cheated and other staff have turned a blind eye to it in the past.
have no doubt that the people running the game DO cheat in order to play; it must really be harsh to suck that much in the game you've created.
i still like the game, i just live with the idea that ccp staff will probably continue cheating whenever they need an advantage.

Really though, I honestly dont beleive that CCP Employee's deliberatly cheat, even when they have found an employee doing something, its usually an isolated case and the community make such a drama about it.
In anycase, they have 300 employee's, and they are human so what if some get caught cheating, its not like the entire company is hell bent on manipulating the game.

must be hard to live in constant denial.
really though, i honestly don't believe that someone sitting in an office next to a lot of other people, could repeatedly cheat in a number of ways (sharing titan accounts, spawning t2 bpos -- "Hey john, when did you get 20 t2 bpos?", etc) and no one in that office, playing the same game with him, didn't notice... oh yeah that's right, they eventually DID notice and ignored it, that's right. and then it all got exposed and they admitted to parts that they simply could NOT deny.
in anycase, they didn't have near 300 employee's, and they shouldn't be allowed to play in a game where they CAN cheat, they should have lots of oversight or be restricted to the test server. it's not like anyone knows if the entire company is hell bent on manipulating the game, we've only witness them artificially lower system caps after bob-friends were in the system, thusly preventing "the enemy" from bringing more than a handful of folks in at a time. we've only seen a laundry list of items where ccp employees "accidentally" messed up on the pro-bob side, and then anyone associated with ccp who dared hang out with say goons, was let go pretty quickly, vs the pro-bobbers doing stuff like oooo allowing molley to post real world information on the eve-o forums and urge people to call the guy's work and get him fired, and nuffin happen to molley cuz, oh yeah, he's bob.
denial isn't a good way to be. shame all the stuff i've listed (and a whole lot i haven't listed) are all well-documented and to deny all of it is to either outright lie, or to be ignorant to 4 years of gaming with ccp cheating.

I have never denied these events have occured. I just dont beleive the entire company, as you say, purposfully and deliberatly "cheats" as you so delicatly put it. Unlike you, I wont "live with the idea that ccp will continue to cheat"
Humans are human, in every mmo company just like any other company there are people who exist that will make mistakes or try and work the system.
I just refuse to beleive that the entire company does it, since it would be detrimental to their business. Personally if I felt as strongly as you did that every dev is out to get you, lol.. then I wouldnt be playing eve.

Oh my typo backbone is now gone.... ( not! )
Anyways thats not what was in order, i was debating that subs per se don't define a game's success , and neither does the box coming out, yeah it will be neat and i'll be having one of those but in the end its about taste, you feel its an alternative to WoW, i personally dislike WoW type games as in they bore the hell outa me with the rinse and repeat mechanics, plus i'm a scifi addict like you probably are and like most EvE players and SW are, dragons in the end are cool looking but we all crave the plasma gun that will vaporise the head of our targets and CCP has the only game at the moment that catters to our liking, plain and simple.
So before calling me a troll or a retard you and the other basement pubbies should start by going out into the street and smell the roses, EvE may have what it takes to be a good game but it has a very very very poor Dev and Support team.

Properly label me or label me properly? I bet you just picked up those lines today uh kiddo? Look go and shoot a couple more roids for a couple more years, who knows maybe GS will pick you up and i'll have the pleasure of introducing you to the right, or is it wrong, side of an autocannon in one of those days doing one of those roams.
