A kind of return trial available?

I used to play the game a bit around release, and was wondering if there was some kind of return back to LotRO trial going on.

I don't believe there is, and actually, the regular free trial has been temporarily removed since the MoM expansions. They are supposedly going to bring it back "soon", but for now the only way of trying the game is by getting a buddy pass from a player.

I was also thinking of coming back (between this, EVE and old faithful FFXI atm) but  I'm unsure if my current laptop can run it to an acceptable level. I would love to test it w/o wasting $14 resubbing for a month or $39 buying the xpack.

It's a company laptop which I use exclusively when traveling, which is around 4 days of the week. Is thre any word on the trial reopening?

If you want to try it again (or try and see if your computer can run it), you might want to get the EU trial (www.codemasters.com/trylotro/englishuk/index.php).

Yeah, I know you probably live in the States and whatnot, but I don't think it'll be that big of a problem if you just want to poke in and see how it's like for a few days. They don't block IPs or anything so you can roll on EU servers for a bit.

Bought the MoM, probably will roll a new character on Brandywine (or that unofficial RP server if I can remember the name offhand).

I've always loved tanking an while Guardian orginally didn't do it for me, I think th play mechanics of Warden are right up my alley.

The Warden absolutely ROCKS!

Also...

Not meaning to be rude, but Silverlode is a good server.  I'm in an RP Kinship that is great.  A pretty mature group.

Sliverload was my original server at release so that might be my best option.
