I personally asked tasos when he came out if an open beta will take place and he said yes and nod his head agreeing with it.He was pretty confident and he is pretty tall,i am 1,82 and he is about 10 cm taller.Right after my question a chick from eurobank(a representative i believe) came and talked things with him and another person about some bussiness advise i believe.

I left after that cause the rain was starting again and i had the family car which my parents needed asap.

BTW the place was overcrowded and actually i was out of the building the whole time that's why i didn't hear much.Also i had the impression that most people in the room didn't know what an mmorpg is (the audience was a bit old,but not very old) so tasos had to oversimplify things.

I will write some more if i remember something i missed. :P

And to the above poster, what else could you want? I for one want to find out about the game when I play it.  Knowing that open beta and release are still gold is all that I need.

Interesting that they hold a press conference two weeks before launch, and give the exact same information they have been giving for the last 6 months, with nothing new. Odd.

Now that i remembered tasos also spole about subscription fee,i believe its something about 11-13 euros ,which he said is less that the reglar for the mmo market.

Also i believe in a question he responded he said that 300k subs and more are sure a success for them but the game can sustain itself even on a far les sub number.

He talked about wow much (as a reference cause people might have heard of it and its genre),he also said that darkfall doesn't aim at being another wow or wow-like game ,just that aims to offer what some of the wow players (that need more pvp and freedom) might want more from wow that wow cant offer them.(this last sentence doesn't make much sense!!! )

Again not to disprove the info about beta that has been written i will say again.

Haha I don`t care if you are a fanboy or a troll, but you have to agree the DF comunity is a bit weird in a good way.

Other mmo`s do PR shows and buy adds everywhere to promote their game. Our Devs don`t tell us anything and we have to use our agents around the world to get just the tiny bit of information. The secret around DF is so tight the agents have to film themselves and put it on youtube. On top of that they have to  verify that they are the one getting filmed by adding a different photo on an other place on the net. (thanks alot vaportrolls)

 

And yes, we might only be 300000, but we love full-loot pvp like a religious cult. God let DF be real and fun for the few of us

... hmmm don't know about Aventurine, but Associate Producers at SEGA and SCEA used to hype up their games and yet give little if at all any details of their product.  I guess that's part of their job description.  In that regards, Tasos seems no different.
