Have never reached level cap before X-pak:(

Ok this is really just for my own curiosity. Has anyone here never reached level cap before either TBC or WoTLK came out? I have played since a month after release and have yet to see ANY endgame content at all! I was 58 when TBC came and 68 when WoTlk rolled around. Is there something wrong with me?! For once though I want to see some end game, so I am using Jamies levelling guide

Sounds like you are an extremely causual player, and for the most part, end game raiding is the province of people with more free time than you.

My son went from level 60 to 70 in about 6 weeks in TBC, and it took him less than a month to create a level 70 DN in WotLK and while an active player, doesn't live for the game.

My recommendation, play a game like WAR where the fun stuff is designed for every tier, instead of saved up for the end.  Also has a level 40 cap which doesn't appear to be that tough to reach.

Played WAR….got sick of Scenarios being the only viable way to level. Thing is I never have enough hours in the day, with work/fiancé etc etc. I’ll stick at it and enjoy the ride I suppose. Only for Wrath is so damn good I would have thrown in the towel after TBC

Wrath is very well done, but the time to level without rested xp is daunting.  I remember at the start, lvl 70 I was tearing through mobs and rapid firing quests and my xp bar seemed to be stuck.  TBC it seemed had a much faster initial levelling (though 67-70 was a major bog fight)

Nope.  I can say I 'slow played' the first edition and Burning Crusade intentionally.  Part of the fun for me was reading all the quests, exploring areas, searching for the items needed to complete them (not net-search "oh there it is" when I first get a quest), spending time in roleplay development, and having guild events.  To me, that's fun!  I'd 'capped out' several months before the expansion both times and found I didn't play the character much because raiding is boring to me, as well as battlegrinding for the next +1 gear.  Then again, I didn't spend time in newbie areas saying "Look at me!  Aren't I awesome?" /flex  /duel as I see so many others do.

Lol, most of my guildmates would point to me if they read your comments.  Between career and family, I've limited time to play.  Frankly, this is one of the reasons I like WoW.

    Dude I envy you.

WoW is an amazing game if you never get to experience the gear grind from hell (endgame raiding).

Man, I wish I did that just leveled like 1 level a week or two. I would still be playing it and blizzard would still have me totally fooled that WoW is actually a Game world and not some static background that I look at in between ques.

I tip my hat to you sir you are very lucky
