Professors do not take kindly to those that skip class and the first class is important as it provides the first impression. Thus, I will not be taking any breaks for the first week. (I would lose my job if I missed one more day of it, so that is out too.)

People who place gaming before everything else have always worried me...
God forbid someone enjoy their life once in a while.

For heaven's sake, don't you have some kind of hobby that's a little more constructive than a video game? Especially a type of video game where once the plug is pulled, you have nothing left to show for all the time you've spent into it?
Sure, take a few days off work, I'm all for it if you can afford it. Just spend them with your family, go outdoors, pick up a good book, whatever. But taking a few days off so that you can be the first to play a video game?

Other than perhaps a great experience and memories?

And you would care what hobbies he has, or how he spends his free time because....
Heh... Bummer for you Daggeth. Your mom found out where you post.
It depends on their distribution, and you should all pay attention to this. If they start open beta the week before and that client transfers to launch then yes, but if you have to download a new client on the 22nd then I wouldn't count on getting the 18gb client before the end of the day Friday or the weekend. Torrents are nice but it will move slow, and as people finish they will stop seeding immediatley to install and play.
Torrents to distribute MMORPG's always snag at the end because you can't start playing reasonably while seeding. Even more so with twitch based cut throat gameplay.

Not all of us can suckle on the parental teet while wasting away in a computer chair. Some people work a lot and would rather take a day off to do something a little more eventful than wtfpwning that same goblin over and over. Since Darkfall appears to have a giant goblin problem.
Could someone please say why they would take Thursday and Friday off? I'm not finding any announcements.
Because peopel forget how bad MMO launches are. So they take off the days when there is many technical issues.. then when the game works great they have to go back to work

The stupidity of people never ceases to amaze me.
Thanks for the response - I had no idea it was about something so lame. I thought maybe there'd been an open beta announcement or something that I couldn't find. lol
