Want to try the game ... Am i missing something?

Ok so i've downloaded the trial client for the 14 day, 10 hour deal. I'm being asked for a 25 digit code which seems to only be available inside retail boxes? I have to be missing something here, why would a trial require a box purchase?

You can only get the trial through a already purchased box game(think buddy key). I don't think I have anymore but I will double check for you.
