1) Eve Online, Most fun in a mmorpg I have ever had. It is also the best game out in my opinion.
2) Planetside, Its not the best game but it is fun to play every now and then. It is the only mmo game besides Eve I have been subscribed to for more then 2 months. Although I recently quit because the game does get old. I now own multiple Eve accounts instead.

As you can see not many good MMO's out there. I wouldnt put in my 3rd 4th or 5th recomendation because I would hate to see anyone actually play any of the other games that are out there.
Now if this list had been about 5 worst MMO's I could of filled up my 5 choices easy.
1. World of Warcraft (stress test rocked my little world) 2. SWG 3. AO <-----probably next to be renewed 4. AC2 <---- playing currently 5. DAoC (forever retired)
Of course this list might be different if you ask me tomorrow.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
If we didn't eat Cheesy Poofs we'd all be ....LAME!
but i tried the WoW stress test and the day this game goes live it will blow most anything away atleast for the time being it will be #1 game garanteed
1. Dark Age of Camelot- Like all good mmo's it's one half the game and one half the comunity, and while I have heard of DAOC horror stories, I also know that the guild I got myself into early on was fantastic. Thusly this is the game I find myself comming back to time and time again. Plus it doesn't hurt that DAOC has simply the best PVP in the biz, at least in this humble persons opinion.
2. City of Hereos- It's fantastic artistic conception and frantic combat made me an instant believer in this game. The lather rise repeat philosophy to quests cleansed of of that opinion, still for three months it was simply some of the most fun I've ever had in a game period.
3. World of Warcraft- Ok yes, I do realize that this game isn't out yet, but for the last few months I've had the luxory of having a friend in the closed beta. Plus I just got done getting to play an entire week plus playing on the closed beta stress test. So between those two things I feel like I have the abiliity to comment on this title. This game has simply the BEST hands down art dirrection in the industry. No boys and girls we're not talking graphics here we're talking art. The lush beautiful enviroments gives me for the first time ever in a MMO the feeling that I'm really dolving into a fantasy world. The combat is fast paced, not City of Hereo's Fast, although with the rouge that IS debatable. And the PVP is fantastic. Really I think with a little more polish, (not much mind you) and a lot more content, something that blizzard plans on doing before launch, this could effortlessly take the number one slot. However if Blizzard fails to deliver these things, instead of occupying my number one slot, they'll most likely go the way of SWG.
4. AC- Although only played for the peroid of one month, tthrough a permotional free thirty day trail. This game has one of the most phenominal comunities out there. If you don't believe me, try it yourself, or better yet, just sit down and talk with anybody who has played the game for any length of time,. You'll soon realize what I'm talking about.
5. Star Wars Galaxies- It's combat was broke, it's ecodemy shot, but dispite all of that, I just enjoyed this game. I mean it's fair to rag on this game, hell the promised a lot, and what we got was hardly what they said we where going to get, but lets not fault the whole game because of a few empty promises. This title had a good questing system, a Horribly addictive crafting system, and found a few new increddibly innovative ways for people to interact in an mmo. Which in the end might not have propelled me to play this for more than a few months, but did definatly keep me entertained while doing it.
Worst MMO Experances
1. Shadowbane- This game is what happens when good ideas are meet with poor execution. Plane and simple, the worst graphics, art detail, sound, controlls, and Questing I have ever delt with from a comercail product. Oh and did I forget to mention that their customer support would give Sony a run for their money. Shame on you ubi soft for not putting better developers on this title.
2. Horizans- It helps that I didn't 1. Pay for my account and 2. have high expectations. But still Horizans is another example of a game with fantastic ideas and horrible exicution. While I love the questing and crafting in this game, I am really hard pressed to find anything else good about it.
3. E&B- It's already out of buisness, so no further ragging could do any further damage than whats already been done.
4. AC2- I love the art and combat in this game. To bad that when I bought this title, at release, half the stuff was broken, and even two months in there was still no ecodemy to think of. It's like the people over at AC decied to fix everything that was poor in AC1 and distroy everything that was good and holy in the original.
5. Lineage 2- The game looks great, and the PVP is supposed to be fun. To bad it takes days, not kidding, days of play time to go up in levels, and the character customization is just the pits. I think that there should be some unspoken law in the MMORPG comunity that says, "If you have less Character Customization options than runscape, than this title should never reach retail. "
That I played that didn't make the list

While I can't agree with you about WOW, I will agree that the cancelation of UO:X was a dark day for mmorpg fans everywhere.
