After the stress test ive gone back to playing SWG, and boy am i bored now....compared to all the mmo's out there ive got to say that even as a beta WoW diffentily is the best one so far for me.
Ive done at least 1 month of the games ive tried. most of the time ive lost intrest in them with in the first few days. but WoW kept me intrested and shoot i was actually sad when it ended. ill diffently be purchasing it once it goes retail.

Been a DAoC player for years, but ToAtlantis hurt my love of the game.
Did the stress test thing.
DAoC's days are numbered. I loved how the quests enabled me to keep moving around. I didn't ever get the "camp the same mob for hours" that bothered me in DAoC (especially w/ ToA)
I only made it into the Stress Test for it's last 3 days but I loved the game. I tried playing COH again but it just felt like it lacked something after playing WOW. I preordered the game the day after ST and am droping Horizons for it.

So all because he agrees with you he is part of the good half? So your saying that your right and anyone who doesn't side with you is on the bad half? I would have to say that you are part of the 3/4 bad part of WoW fans.

i havnt been active in these forums for a long time, but i thought i would add my $0.02 in to this thread.
i have been playing eq for some time, and i really have enjoyed it. when the stress test for wow was announced, i knew i would get into it, in fact, i dont think that anyone who wanted in got left out. but anyway, since i played wow, i havnt even touched my toon on eq. maybe i've found other things to do otherr than sitting on my fat but, but i really havnt had much of a desire to play. also, i've seen that i have been following it a little more closly than i have in the past few months.
when i played, i thought it was great. i was at my parrents house with my laptop at the time of the stress test, so i only got about 4 days worth of play, but i enjoyed every bit of it.
i know that i dont have too much room to comment on this subject, but i am thinking that there will be a little bit of a lack of mid to higher lvl content. to be more specific, i am concerned about the guild/raid limit being around 30 or so. in eq, i am used to having a guild of 120+ members with about 90 or so active at the time, and 70 that attend raids on a normal basis.
i now that this game will not be eq, it will be very differant, so i think that it will be ok, it will just take me a few more hours or so of game play to get used to it
I have the dilema of going back to CoH was fun but after WoW stress test I can't seem to make myself go back...... I'm itching for open beta real bad.... lol. The odd thing is I wasn't really looking forward to WoW but after stress testing I'm freakin hooked ! Damn you Blizzard, damn you to hell !!!!!! lol.

Well I had no problem going back to Eve, but then it is a different type of game. During the strees test it was a different story. I hardly played Eve other then to check on how my skill training was doing. As another person stated I also rarely followed WoW other then to see when it was coming out. Now after the test I go check out the beta site daily to see what is new. I would love to get the collectors edition but 80 bucks is a little steep for me. I know it comes with some really cool stuff. Maybe I can talk the wife into getting it as a early Christmas present.
I played the WoW stress test, and all i can say is i had so much fun, which is something that had been missing for me for a long time in everquest. so, as of oct 2 my account will be cancelled and i will be waiting in agony until WoW comes out ... please let me in the beta! lol
I was addicted, I played it constantly, every waking moment. I don't even have any other MMORPG's nor have I tried them.. nor am I interested in them, either. Now I don't play ANY games. Was playing KOTOR till I beat it and got bored playing on the dark side. Now I just read and check out the Blizz page to see how things are going.
All I say is this... it was a stress test... this does not represent the final outcome of the game, graphics or overall game play...
So please judge the game once it comes out. This goes for this, or any other game that's currently in BETA.
I CAN NOT stand when you get a horde of 14 year olds that BETA tested a game and says it's utter trash... I would hope it's not really what the expect it to be. I mean come on... the game is still in BETA...
Originally posted by milhoan6 Personally, I didn't like the game at the stress test point. I will however give it another try when its in open beta
MMORPG's Im currently playing: The Sims Online, Second Life, Asherons Call 2, EVE, and City of Heroes MMORPG's I've played: Star Wars Galaxies, Anarchy Online DAOC, EQ, WW2 Online, and Knight Online
No offense, Mil. . .I have no appreciation for your expectations if your playing any of the mmorpgs you say you are. . .sad, sad.
I didn't say anything about expectations i said I didn't LIKE the game at its current stage Also, what is wrong with the games I play...seems like a variety to me fantasy games, sci-fi games, real-life games, and superhero games.

i was going to be playing warhammer online with this game as a secondary if warhammeronline didnt pull through... and then warhammeronline didnt pull through .... oh well there is still this game ! and im just as happy as long as i can get my pc to work and get everything etc.........

I'm really getting annoyed by this sort of attitude and bias.
Once a game has been in development for ... what 3, 4 years in this case? .... what you get in beta is almost the same as what you get in game except for some stability issues.
WoW may have some added content and a few tweaks here and here but what we saw during the stress test is what the game will look like when it ships.
I never liked the Diablo games, nor was I a big fun of the *craft games so even though I love WOW you have to admit that there is a posibility that some people won't like it.
So stop complaning about people complaning about the quality of the game!!!
After the WoW stress test I just can't bring myself to go back to the others. SWG bored me in a few days, EQ had me for a few months but I was bored of it long before I quit. WoW will be more than my next addiction, it'll be my next religion.

If you understand what I'm getting at you would see it as not complaing... I understand that not everyone's going to like game 'z' or game 'e'... All I say is for people to give a game some time...
I couldn't stand to even look at SWG, a year later I was playing it for months on end... I gave it some time to fix the issues it has...

I loved it and it was one of the best games for my gaming type.
Before i had Guild Wars at 65% WoW at 35% of my playing time
Now after the stress test when i got some more time to play its both at about 50%

game gets old very fast....not worth a cent IMO
I guess you can say that with any MMORPG.
Unless there's non stop content, then how does the game stay not boreing?

The stress test changed my mind about the game. Totally.

I didn't sign-up/play the stress test because I didn't want to suffer the withdrawals that many of you are going through.
I'll be there day 1 with my Collector's Edition though. I've been looking forward to this since it was announced in development.

Its still not as good as EQ1, except graphically, but its a damn good game.
