While I prefer my own company I do not consider living alone on a miniscule island to be the best job in the world. I like being able to rely on others to cook my food or mow my lawn.

How the hell do you figure? There's no strippers there at all....

Week 21: I'm not alone on the island. I can see now what I a fool I was to think this was paradise. The boat has left, and there is no way out. I see their tracks in the sand each morning, each print a travesty of a marking- no man has ever left a trail like this. My once tranquil villa has become a prison, I can not leave- they are waiting. It is but a matter of time before even this safe haven is gone.
Week 23: I saw them last night! They came out of the surf and shambled upon my beach. I am grateful that they were as shapes in the moonlight, for I cannot imagine the true horror of their form. I will not go quietly, this is my island, and I won't give it up without a fight.
Week 25: Opposing them was foolish- this island was never mine. These lands were never ours, we are all as I was, merely occupying the space of some other being. It won't be long now.
Week 26: The surf! The terror from beyond the stars. fhatgn! Out beyond the reef! No way out, all around. Their sunken city underneath and within me! Dead and dreaming under the waves! The dead city is there. Sleep is gone. There is only Dread. The Great Ones rise!
The end is near.
