blah blah blah but why hasnt any well known media like ten ton hammer interview them...because they know its vaporwarez and a scam! oh wait.... just another day of DF proving haters wrong. good read and cya all on the 22nd
Well, they could have met with TTH and other sites a bit earlier.... this really is the 11th hour..
But its good news and I'm looking forward to more info by next week.
(that's right, DF launches next week, feels weird saying that)

LOL! Welcome back imbant!
We've missed you and your witty sense of humor.
Just send me your psychiatrist (sp?) bill as I know my absence has negatively effected many
Anyways I am crazy excited to see what Aventurine gives us on the 22nd. Like I have been saying all along, if you dont think they are releasing on 22nd, you are crazy and/or just dont take the time to actually read up on the game.

It will be interesting to see how many are allowed in on the 22nd and what the cap will be on the number of players.
My guess is about 10-40k... after that you'll have to wait until they bring more worlds online.
Guess we'll find out in 7 more days if I am correct.
This article is a great read! I particularly like this......
"There are no instances or traditional “raid” content like you have in other MMOs. We try to steer clear of anything limiting the multiplayer experience."
The interviewer asking about raid content seemed to be assuming that it would have it. Its a really boring mindset that the majority of online gamers have fallen into from playing all of those tiresome thempark games. They seem to naturally assume that all games will have it......pretty much in the same way that most people assume that all games will have levels. The idea that an online game actually wont have "endgame" and "raid" content (as its not a story driven game) will probably be quite mind-boggling to the less open-minded crowd. They will probably find it very hard indeed to find a purpose in playing a game that doesnt dangle a mythical golden carrot in front of their face......
......which is fine with me as I prefer to play online games with people capable of independent thought

You should have finished his quote though...
"That said, we have epic monsters like dragons and demons which require large numbers to defeat and include epic loot. "
So really what is different about DarkFall's "raid content" and the themepark "raid content"?
It seems like Instancing is really all that is different. So, it'll basically be like the original EQ's Nagafen or Vox on a PvP server.
If you can think of how it differ from EQ's Nagafen or Vox encounters on a PvP server... I'd love to hear some opinions on that. From the way I read his comments... that's how it will be. Not that that's a bad thing... but hardly "carrot-free" since it involves "epic loot".
This confirms some of our suspicions: 1. It's limited release Only people who they think are going to say positive things will get access. 2. It's direct download Only people in UK will be able to download, everyone else will be blocked.
Thats great news! I live in the UK and its really nice to see the US getting shoved to the back of the queue for a change. It must feel harsh for them lol

Yeah, I too will be surprised if very many from NA are able to get in.
It will be interesting to see just how many will be able to play on the 22nd. If my predictions are right... there will be a number of EU players not playing as well.
Guess we'll see how many are able to play come the 22nd.
This interview has brought absolutely NOTHING new to the table, other than the fact they are going to use the "publisher" as a scapegoat to delay another 6 months. Thats it.
Regarding all of the screenshots and video, and the leak, its the same crap we have seen over and over but in a new format. The aibot scripted tech demo in all its reiterations is getting fucking old.
Favorable print from thenoob.com? The site is hosted by Adventurine. The gal who did the "preview" works at adventurine in some capacity, even if its choking on Greek tubesteak. Not really a unbiased view...
Oh and the STAGED RELEASE statement is incredibly easy to read between the lines. Give me a break...
"Aventurine: We’ve released several in-game and gameplay videos, the latest being 17 minutes long showing off many different aspects of gameplay and unique features. These videos are in-game and have not been scripted or modified in any way." Can someone tell me where these videos can be found? On youtube it seems to be hundreds of vids all edited from the same two already released. As for the rest of the Q&A it's all fluff except for the admission it will be a download. However why have they got things set up with the publisher so late? Why even bother having a publisher now if they're going to release by DD? Where can we download the client? If it is 18 gigs and on bit torrent as alleged no -one will be playing the first day unless they put it out for DL soon, which means pre-orders! This is all just too dodgy in my opinion, and still no system specs 1 week from launch!
This site has a few videos. The first on the list is the new 17 minute gameplay video. Decent quality on the movies ........ Youtube leaves a little to be desired.
Going to check the video from the second link, but I think I know which video it is. Yes I was right I've seen this one too, and the date is right there, it's from back in October 2008.
I thought you said there are new videos, where are they?
i dont see where he said new?

Is there anything that's really new or significant in that interview? I read it and it sounds almost identical to what's already known about the game.
I wish them luck, but I honestly don't know how they're going to pull this release off in a week, especially without an open beta of any kind.
This interview has brought absolutely NOTHING new to the table, other than the fact they are going to use the "publisher" as a scapegoat to delay another 6 months. Thats it.
