The actual term I heard used was "global cooling". I had to snicker at that.

Global warming and cooling are very real,  its a cycle thats been repeating for many,  many millions of years.  Seeing as how the polar ice caps aren't threating kansas or central Europe at this time I'm going to stick with the "we are still coming out of our last ice age" theory,  of course we could all be wrong and Ice age 30 (or whatever Ice age this hunk of dirt is on) could be on the way.  Just have to wait a few hundred thousand years and find out I guess.

If deliberate ignorance could be measured in numbers the replies to this topic would be a number larger than the eternity... And here's Global Cooling.

Our current understanding of the long-term climate cycles shows that for the past 800,000 years, periods of approximately 100,000 years’ duration, called Ice Ages, have been interrupted by periods of approximately 10,000 years, known as Interglacials. (We are now about 10,500 years into the present Interglacial.)

    Maybe sooner.

Let me rephrase. I snickered at the idea of man made global cooling - and warming for that matter.

Damn it! Put some clothes on!

However up here north of the border the weather has been somewhat screwed up.  Extremely warm days toward the end of December is a bit interesting.  The temperatures back in Europe during the summer have gone up slightly since I was a kid and lived there or so say some of my relatives back there.

No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

there are rumors that there wont be global warming but another of a littile ice age. we can see now that the temperatures are at record lows.

What amazes me is that the planet has been here how long?  We have evidence of more Ice than anything in it's history.

We run outside, stick our finger in the wind and declare "omg!  it's X Y Z!!!  See it's global XXXXXX!!!!"

We've become a societ of knee jerks, we follow and repeat whatever we're told.

Man is arrogant to think he can affect such a change on a celestial body.

Nope. They already ruled out Kara.

My two picks are Admiral Cain (season 2 - harsh bitch) and Adama. If you remember from the Razor episodes he had some "flashbacks" when he was in the base star prototype.

I'm still curious how Saul is one since he impregnated Six.

The ice caps grew by 30% last year.

When we have a string of exceptionally hot summers, it's all "global warming! it's the end of th world".

When we have a string of exceptionally cold winters it's all "a new ice age! it's the end of the world".

    I'd prefer to die warm.

Meh, I'll be dead before it really matters.  Until then I'll keep burning styrofoam, using aerosol cans upside down just to waste, getting all of my groceries in seperate plastic bags and burning old tires in my front yard.

You do that too? Need to throw new lightbulbs out the car window too, only way to get rid of them along with batteries.
