If I was God for a day, I would come to earth and appear before the people. If I could choose a day, it would be Superbowl Sunday in the middle of the field:) Lotsa media coverage you know:)
I would stand there in all my glory and ask the people to "Please obey my Commandments. I made them to guide you and I am asking you to obey them. I am also asking you to be kinder to one another and treat your fellow man as your brother"
And then I would disappear and all the unbelievers would have their proof that God exists. And the scientists would not be able to explain God away. And if people knew there was a God and he WAS watching them- they would surely stop the killing, stealing, raping and breaking the laws. Maybe.

I was trying to comment on the hands off approach of the current resident deity if you believe in things like that.
