Ok sorry for taking so long... Butter i was wondering is if players would be able to join Factions led by NPC's

For instance a newbie guild with resourses that allows newbs to learn the game... And maybe secret guilds or thieves guilds of sorts... You know.... just to create content.... Wouldn't that be cool?

Then the answer is yes.  Organizations run by NPCs and organizations run by PCs will basically be one and the same.  For example, when the game first goes live, the Government will be NPC controlled and all PCs who want to join the military will do so under the leadership of NPCs.  However, as PCs grow in rank and expertise, they can take over roles held by NPCs and begin taking control.  NPCs will always fill roles that no PC is available or qualified to fill.

I will continue to answer questions here as well.

I have several more questions I'd like answered:

1.- Will the battleships be player craftable? or maybe crafted by many players at once, like a factory

2.- Will they be upgradable? Like buying a new weapons system, or onboard AI

2.1.- If yes will those upgrades be player craftable?

3.- Will there be any other purpose for giant spaceships/stations rather than just combat? (repair or refueling station maybe?)

Thats all i can think of for now.

Thanks for taking the time to answer

    1. Ships will be built to replace those destroyed in battles, or they can be salvaged after battles.  However, they cannot be designed from scratch as completely customized models.  At least not in Phase 1.

    2. Certain upgrade options will be available from a standard set of items including shields, weapons, scanners, etc.

2.1. The extent of what things will be player craftable in Phase 1 has not been determined yet.  Mined resources are a definite, but items like ship upgrades are not definite yet.

    3. Yes.  There will be resource ships for mining elements, scientific research vessels, freighters for hauling materials, stations for training, recreation, housing, trade, etc.
