Best F2P game in open beta - Runes of Magic

Imagine if WoW had intercourse with an asain grinder, this would be the offspring.

www.runesofmagic.com/us/index.html

Probably one of the best free2play games ive ever tried (and ive tried alot of them) and better than some P2P games.

Some key features

- Dual class system (like FFXI)

-Custom house system (like eq2)

-Fun gameplay (Identifal to WoW)

-Alot of character customization

- Armor dye (like DAoC, but better)

-No zones as far as i know of (like WoW)

Theres nothing new in this MMO, its just a very nice polished f2p game.

well, there are 'zones' like silverspring and aslan, but there is no loading inbetween them.

Haha, fricken hilarious, and I agree 100%

It's funny, but it took me a few tries to actually find the damn game on mmorpg.com. I was like...wtf? This is a great game, it HAS to be here somewhere.

So, how I found this game..heck knows, but I love it, it's got only a few downsides, but  its easy as hell, the amount of gold you have compared to your actual level and the equipment you need in your travels is awesome, or maybe its cuz i ain't doing 500 different crafting skills like it almost forces you to in the beginning. But I'll list out the pros and cons.

    Pros: (& Cons :p)

    Awesome graphics

    It's fricken free....

The community is great, though it needs more night players

The economy ain't fudged yet...but apparently gamekoo.com (Don't go there unless you want to watch your computer combust) has already started spamming it, i reported them already for selling a product that isn't theirs i.e. breaking international copyright, and for the unsolicited spam they send via the game, and for the spreading of malicious material such as malware and virus'. (thats a con ain't it....)

Travel can be done by renting horses, which, can be fixed by BUYING (w/ actual cash) a permanent horse, sumfin i do not agree w/ but oh well

Usually i stay far away from item shop games, but this 1, this 1 may keep me

This game is a very good cash2play MMORPG. I would say f2p, but when is anything ever free. The game is very similar to World of Warcraft in many aspects and has a decent dual class system. Somethings to take note of before entering the game.

    1. It is not finished by any means. A lot of content has yet to be added to the game. There are only a handful of instances that are working correctly. These instances are:

    -Windmill (crafting instance) 15-25 lvl

    -Forsaken Abbey 18-32 lvl

-Blood Galery (low level raid instance) 15-32 lvl

    - Necropolis of Mirrors 35-42 lvl

    - Mystic Altar 38-45 lvl

There is one other instance but it has some issues and the quests are still not translated. There are other instances you can enter, but those other ones are have not had there diffuculty put in place and have not been itemized at all. This is easily known by the way you get into these said instances. Yay exploiters!

    2. Dragonfang is a 22-40 zone that a lot of people miss out on because they never recieve quests for it unless they do Sascilla Steppes. Hint: Use your skill book, the ports show up after level 10.

    3. Level 40+ and above has itemization issues. Meaning there are not a lot of items to be found. EPic sets are not in and niether are class sets. Blues are very sparse also.

    4. Crafting cost. That is all you need to know. And if you want some decent gear till mid 30's, farm windmill and get the epic set made. It's worth it!

    5. Last but not least, there are a few levels towards the end that will have you feeling the grind. One level that is plagued with this is level 39. Make sure to do your dailys. They will strech the quests far enough that you can breeze through level 39 and never know there are no level 39 quests to be found.

Hope this helps, and remeber its still Open Beta. Get a character to 50/50 and wait for the content. It has some solid content. And if yoru bored at 50, there are world bosses to take out that offer nice loot. And there is an event thats also up and running now.
