Ya, i liked how it crashed at the end when the sever took a dump and it only had like 4 characters playing., and i saw like 4 mob total all the same kind. 1 more year. just give them time. Darkfall is coming!

Yeah it's the worst when you crash during a presentation. I remember my bachelor's senior project out of 5 groups 4 of them crashed while presenting, and ours would have crashed if I wouldn't have found the bug before the presentation and avoided it. Most people don't understand how easy it is to miss a bug without serious testing.
Our bug was from an npc firing a bullet, and then dying before the bullet hit it's target. Then the npc would get recycled and the bullet would try to reference it's parent upon being hit. It was a freak occurence that happened once in our hundred hours of testing. People aren't perfect, and combining code from multiple coders is a very volatile activity. I guarantee there will be bugs like this in this game. There are still bugs like this in almost every MMORPG on the market.
At this point I just want to play the game though whether it is finished or not. If you want a complete game and are nitpicky then the general rule of thumb is to wait at least 6 months post launch of an MMORPG. By then it will either be relatively bug free and growing, or sinking to it's death. The problem with this? You miss the launch. Launches of MMORPG's are an amazing experience and I wouldn't miss any of them for any other gaming experience.
Thats what i was saying. they have a game it just needs a hell of a lot of work!
Yeah for sure. It is going to need a lot of love. Hopefully what they release is a solid enough core to allow for quick additions and not so many bugs that they get weighed down for months and months.
Great post, sticky ftw I checked out some vidz. on youtube last week, and was so hyped for the 22nd. Oh well, the future will hold more answers, for now, ill just keep to my online FPS's
Seriously hyping yourself up for MMO's is the worst. There is a 100% chance for delays, and then you build up this idea in your mind of what the game will be like and then of course it is different and it throws you off making it hard to judge the game.
I do it with like every MMO in development, but I try my best to not anticipate them too much. If you can play something else right up to release it works well.
totally have to agree with you, Im actually impressed how there staying out of it and working on there game.
