This has to be the most pro-DF bashing fourm ive seen why not let the game release and then make judgement ? Like anyone i have my doubts about DF but all in all i hope thay make a great game and i think sitting here bashing the game doesnt help anything . New ppl coming here to get info on the games prolly not gonna stick around for long . It almost makes me lose respect for MMORPG community . SO what thay delayed the game AGAIN! boo fucking hoo would you guys rather them release a untested game ? nope so either way you guys would have been pissed hell im disapointed about the delay and the lies that have been told but this board is just rediculas sometimes . LET THE GAME RELEASE THEN JUDGE IT ! why sit here and try to drive ppl away from a game thay you obviously have some interest in.

if you want 100% pro Df with no debate....i suggest the darkfall official forums. These forums will always have debates on both sides of the fence for every game.
Because we like hearing both sides of the fence around here.
If you guys can love, support, and hype a game without it being released....then please just be quiet and let these other guys trash, hate, and dissent against it for the same reason.
This is common sense. Noone would be stupid enough to complain about a game thats not released yet. It would be the same as when people complain about when Heath Ledger were to play The Joker in Dark Knigh, before they had seen the movie. Very stupid.

Yeah most of the time MMORPG.com has alot on both sides of the fence.......IF you jsut want "this game is the greatest" posts then yeah find a fan forum and you wont have to deal with the negativity........ Personally I prefer hearing both sides of the argument over just the fanbois........
So, if we didn't critize this game based on the information we have, then Why do we even have a forum?

Its not so much people trying to chase people away from the game, its more about countering the missinformation that gets posted by some of the die hard fans who wear the rose colored lenses.
There are 3 types of people in the world.

You know, that is the part that people laugh at. This game was 'a month from release' back in 2003. It was 'finishing up beta testing' back in 2005? and again " nearly ready for release" in 2006.
This game is never going to release.. that is the whole point of our argument. Nobody is saying the game will be terrible, most of us are saying it will never even release. At best, Tasos is going to slink away again after Feb 25 and disappear for another year. At worst, Tasos is going to have a pre-ordr and slink away again Feb25 with people's money and disappear forever.
The game was supposed to be relesed in 2 days.. now it has been pushed back a month. In a month, it will disappear again.

you really think anything special is going to happen Jan 22nd or February 25th? Please, I'd love to hear your predictions of what the average person is going to experience on those two days? Do you really think in 2 days 'fans' are magically going to be able to download a client and get onto a test server? Do you really think the press is goign to suddenly be playing the game and writing reviews?
I see what you want though. As soon as 'trolls' say "ok, I promise I will stop talking til the game is released" then basically we are shut up forever.

We'll see. If a large number of people do not get invited into beta on the 22nd I will have serious doubts about next month.
Beta in 2005, Beta in 2006, Beta in 2007, Beta and release in 2008, Beta and release in January. The only thing that has "happend" to this game is delays.

It's kind of like arguing who has the biggest penis. One guy says his is the biggest, and then that spurs another guy to claim, no I have the biggest penis. Until they whip those suckers out no one will know for sure.
So when you got this dude, Tasos, claiming he has a massive penis, it's just natural that it's gonna piss alot guys off, so round and round it goes.
The deal is, the guy who made the claim first is required to whip his out first. He keeps sayin he's gonna whip it out, then says no I'll whip it out in another month, and so on, meanwhile still claiming his is the biggest. That kinda jive just doesn't cut it bro.

I dont have a problem with the debate good or bad. Some of it is informative and useful, I repeat 'some'. The problem I have is most of the debate is based on speculation and it gets so heated that folks draw a line in the sand and close their minds to reason. Then it becomes an argument between folks who say I'm not playing because the game sucks and I am playing because this is gonna be the best mmo ever. Whats the point!!! The only thing that gets sorted it out is whether your an optimist or a pessimist. This is where I agree with the OP. These forums tend to deteriorate to the point where most of the information is useless and misleading. If you have no expectations your better off waiting for it to come out and judge based on informed reviews rather than poison your mind with most of the garble on these forums.
Open debate is great. I may be one of the ones that stops by here if DF fails meet the hype and tell you why.

As with the afformentioned poor games, I will give DF every benefit of the doubt. Based on what we know, it has great potential. But if anyone flames, they have nothing to substantiate it, I think.

Because Mr. believe whatever a company tells me, this is a forum that allows debate. Unlike the official Darkfall forum that is run in a manner that would make Hitler proud, many in this community question the sanity of releasing a game without any legitimate sources to back up the companies claims. So until there's actual evidence of a game with a UI and proof beyond some paid lackeys who do nothing but hype the game, many of us will continue to demand proof and warn anyone from forking over money to this mirage.
