One of my favorites was a waling spaceship that had three legs on each side, and it could climb a lot of things.

A beat-up, stained, faded, raggedy, dirty, stuffed toy dog named Scamper that 'disappeared' when I was about 9.

To many to list them all. But I was really fond of the Kiss Dolls in the late 1970's. Gene Simmons was and still is a badass bass player..and he looked so kool!

When I was 8, I wanted this thing more than anything.  I was an odd kid I guess, and I got one for Christmas.  I remember a couple other of my friends wanting it but their parents wouldnt buy it for them because it was too damn creepy.  This was back in 1978 so bear with me.

Having the imagination of an 8 year old and being completely freaked out by the dark from watching too many horror movies at a young age, Id sleep with this damn thing thinking it would protect me from demons.  LOL.. it used to scare the crap out of my older sister.  Its head glowed, its jaw opened and the small interior set of jaws would shoot out of its mouth.

anyhow, it was the Alien action figure that came out in 1977.  Stores had a really hard time selling them back then because ..well first its a toy geared for children.  second, it was a toy modeled after a monster from an R rated movie that children wouldnt normally watch.  Now they go for $300-$500 dollars if theyre in good shape.  Sometimes more if its boxed

My mom has my old Play Dough containers in her storage; long since hardened, puke-colored due to my not keeping 'em separate as a kid, but still has that get-you-high smell. Mmm.

'bout the only "toys" of mine that still exist from my old childhood chest, and I remember like playing with that.

  • IlliusIllius Member UncommonPosts: 4,142

My He-Man action figures.  I had a few of them including Cringer with all his armor, and of course He-Man himself.  I even had Skeletor where his chest had a revolving part on it that had various amounts of damage so that you could simulate damage.

I have no idea where they are now, probably melted down or in a landfill somewhere.  Those were good times.

No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

    omgoodness.

Mine wasn't a toy, it was this stuffed ninja turtle chair that I used to position in front of the television every morning and watch cartoons.

Then one day, I started looking everywhere for it... something told me to look outside and till this day I will never forget seeing the chair outside, in the gutter, waiting for the trash man to come pick it up.. I was destroyed!

Either my Z-Bot collection, or especially these Ninja Turtles knock-offs I had. I really wish I could remember what they were called but they were these non-flexible rubber figures that looked like turtles without shells but their skin was yellowish and they were in their underwear with each of the 4 being a different color. What was cool about them was that each came with a 2-piece snap together battle armor set that would cover everything but their head and a pinkish rubber "shell" that could fit on to the armor. They also came with these little snot-green soft rubber ball things that could be fitted into the rubber shell and launched by turning the shell inside-out and letting it snap back into position. I'd like to say they were slugs or toads or something. Just very cool.

    *Edit*

Ha! I found them. They were actually based on snails heh.

    Snailiens-Supersonic Shell Fighters.

I forgot there were bad guys and little pets that came with each one. Also, I think the vehicle was called Escargo or something like that. Where I first learned what that meant.
