It only costs a few dollars and you get to actually play the game when it finally releases after all this time. It would be stupid not to preorder. It's your right not to. But, I definitely don't recommend it. besides. if you pre-order you also give them more money so they can set up more servers, run the game for a longer time if it turns out to get into difficulties. You even get to play the game for like a week or so prior to the release. I think that's pretty neat.
But, hey!.. If you don't preorder it just means that somebody else will. I know I will preorder within the first hour of those news. If I see it. I hope I do. .. I just wanna get in and give this game a chance.
No matter what happends with Darkfall, it's still the most daring and visionary game out there. I think we all deserve to give it a real chance and treat it well. I believe its more obvious of who this game is directed at by hinting at pre-orders w/o any real solid info. (as of now, it might change). That target audience is the people who dont actually earn their money thus have not yet learned the concept of having finacial responsibilites.

Hmm I earn my money. always have. I also own my own home, and car, and paid my own way through 2 degrees, yet I will probably preorder.
BecauseI earn my money I understand that 10$ for a preorder is not all that much money. Nor is $50 for the game... even if I don't like it. I have spent more than that in a single night at a bar, if I can get a month of play out of a game for that I am satisfied.

Yeah, but since I'm American do I have to start over on a new server in two months? Really, I want to be a fan of this game and support them financially if they deliver even half of what they claim, but the lack of a concrete American release date is just unacceptable at this point. I won't be giving them any money at all, never mind the three or four accounts that I'd like to buy, until they can be bothered to let me know when, or if, the game will be available in my area.
