favorite "current" single player game for PC

Dead space.  I'm not done with it yet but it is incredible.

I haven't been able to stick with a single player RPG since I started MMO's.... it just seems pointless somehow.

I'm not suggesting that my feeling is  correct in any way...  I think its a rediculous notion.

I loved Morrowind... but only played for about 5 or 6 days before I quit and refocused on MMO's... since then I havent played a single player RPG for more then an hour before quitting.

I dont play RTS's because I'm terrible at them.. which sucks cause I like them.. maybe some day I'll learn.

I love FPS games... so immersive!  I also enjoy arcade type driving games (NFS series especially), and I've got the steering wheel rig to prove it!

The Total War series are my all time favorites since the late 90's or when ever shogun came out.

Empires is looking to be a great addition to the series.

While I love Fallout 3 and others listed here,, my all-time favorite is Heroes of Might & Magic III.

    Thats a NVIDIA Geforce right?

If so it should run perfectly fine, I play it on an 8500GT and can turn my graphics up a good bit.

Fallout 3 and Mount and Blade... Both are awesome games.

Edit: While technically not a PC game because of the platform I'm playing it on I've also been playing a lot of Mass Effect on my Xbox 360. I got it for Christmas and didn't try it before that. I have to say that it's a really great game. Any game that contains kinky blue alien lesbian sex is OK in my book. Captain Kirk has nothing on a female Commander Shepard!

(BTW I'm playing a female Adept on my 3rd play through just to see what changes to the story there were for a female character.)

    Civilization 4

It gives endless hours of gaming enjoyment because it's impossible to win consistently on the harder settings so it's always a challenge and always fresh.

Age of Empires II:  The Age of Kings

It's a 10 year old game now and I still love it.

Neverwinter Nights... the first one... not the second crap.  Baldurs Gate 2 is also good.

No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
