I think this company is playing mind games with the player base..Why send email and say you are invited and show it starts on the 16th as open beta?..Then go to the web site and has nothing..Boy this looks like this company is learning from Aventurine..

No one said it is the Beta invite...Just speculation, could just be the site Launch of the English site, Anyway Korea is already in closed Beta

Game looks quite good. Gameplay is another story so have to see how it shakes out.

The combat will be real time with manual targeting. The Open Beta that started is the Korea Open Beta.

No, this game is nothing like lineage 2, in fact it’s not like any other mmorpg out there...western or Eastern.
Only link this has with Lineage 2 is that it has some of the original producers behind the game

I am always interested in information about new games. I know this is an old thread, but I am interested now, so thank you for showing this. People seem concerned about how the characters are sexy. Would you rather they be ugly? Would that make you more likely to think the game was more well-designed? Try not to be so stupid. It is always better for the coffers of the companies to make everyone as hot as possible. And damn...they succeeded. I think we should be more concerned with how the necklace that the rogue-style looking character on the right seems glued to her breasts. It looks weird.

I watched the video, and I wanted to add that the casting animations look fantastic. There is this guy looking like he is healing, and he is poking the air making ripples or holes appear. It is cute and clever.
The combat looks fluid and well-done as well. The characters are moving in a believable way and they attack with logical patterns. I love it. This is the kind of thing that really gets me, and keeps me playing. Games like WoW with their boring hit 1 then 2 then 3 fighting without thinking makes me angry and bored.

Don't know if you were just trolling him or not but meh. Ztyx is completly false on all points. TERA Online is a game many gamers have been looking forward to due to the much more action-based gameplay. Character design is only a selling point in Asia while over here in NA, gameplay is our biggest selling point.

One thing I am wandering about TERA Online. While the website says the game will be P2P, the publisher in Asia (HanGames I believe) is known for releasing only F2P titles. Is there a possibility that the game will be F2P in Asia yet P2P in NA?
They won't be the first ones that use different subscription methods depending on the region.

That'd be a nice twist. But usually, when a game goes F2P in any region, any other version out will follow suit if only to avoid losing customers. Happened a bit with Granada Espada/Sword of the New World; people with subs in NA ver. were mighty pissed for a month or two.

No one knows yet, but the developers are the core people from the Lineage 2 team that quit NCSoft after Lineage 3 was indefinitely postponed due to the code theft issue they had.
I would suspect that its going to be an open seamless world game with a heavy focus on PvP, beyond that it is either going to be a true successor to L2 or it is going to be more Aion/WoW orientated with the hand-holding in those games.

Not always the case, WAR is published by HansGme in Korea and its a free to play over there, Also Lineage 2 is P2P in NA/EU and Korea and but SEA and RU is officially a F2P..There are a few more example but I can think of them atm.
edit: I know ROHAN is p2p in some regions but i cant remember where
