My server population is higher after transfers !

As we know last week the server merges were done. All servers got merged into 18 servers. Then 4 fresh start servers were opened, and now this week we had another 2 servers coming in, to a total of 24 servers. What some people were worried about though was that guilds and populations would skew too much with the transfers. And the core of this thread are going to revolve about that. For one of the servers I play on population is just the same, but for the other one there have been a significant activity increase. I have asked around in my guild and chattet a bit and it seems like there are not that many people using the transfer function, and in that case the population increase is new players. Nevertheless, lets POLL this. Are people transfering? Or maybe they are saving the transfer up to the last day before the 21st of Feb (when transfer will be disabled).

Yes ...from pvp server to pve ... i have more fun on pve server (Set ..full people)...except one level 80 toon on tyranny again for pvp sometime
From PvP to PvE server. PvP got to insane after merge. I transfer to PvE, because you can do PvP, Siege and everything else there also, just that it happens in the borderlands and minigames.

yes..the game is very funny on pve.... NO STUPID gank level 60 agains level 22 or 3 vs 1 on the low level zone
as soon as i get my new computer i plan n coming back to aoc and plan on transfering at least one charecter frm pvp to pve, not shure which one yet

On my server we have got several new memebers to our guild over the last couple of days. There are only femails in our guild. lol
My 2 cents on this. The transfers took some people out of the game while they were waiting for the transfer to take place. It is natural in my opinion that we see more activity today.

Did he mean merge? probably not since he then would have used the english word merge. Did he mean transfer? Well, he used the english word transfer after all. So perhaps there is a good chance he ment Transfer.
I leave it to you to read up on how FC first merged and then allowed transfers.
So you are saying that since they consolidated servers you have more people on your server. IE: same amount of people fewer servers equals remainging servers are busier?

I am having so much lag after server merge. my game froze and i had to turn the compurter on and off again and now when i try and get into the game i'm stuck at the loading screen. befor i froze alot of other people were complaining in global about the lag. I dont think Funcom ever tought of this. That the server should be handle to the stress.

Well I played all last night on the most packed server ever and I had no lag at all. Also the official AoC forum has no posts like this so maybe it's a local technical problem. Customer support is kind of helpfull try and drop them a message and see what happens.
i have a character on PvE PvP & PVP RP & all three of the servers are very busy after server merge.
The PvE & the PvP rp where fairly busy but now all 3 are very busy.
I play on EU servers.
Exactly, this is what I have seen too (US). I think the extra bump in activity we got just up toward this weekend is not due to mergen but due to more people flocking to the game. I posted it in another thread but I stick it in here again since Xfire show numbers it has not shown for +3 months.

Well... I have fully come to the conclusion that fanbois make more sense than trolls. I can understand why people come to talk in high regard about games they have an interest in, but I have yet to understand why people hang out and posts in forums of games they have no interest. Is it that they have no games they're interested in so they spew crap wherever they go? Seems a bit moronic to me.

Most of the people on this forum are 'in the middle'. They are open to logical exchange of information. On some issues they may be positive, on others negative. But there are some poster..ahem.... who do nothing but hype the game and sound just like the PR guys from AOC before launch.

AOC is a second tier game. It is not in the same league as LoTRO, EVE, Warhammer, and WOW as far as gameplay or subscribers. It's the PotBS, Vanguard, AO type game. Small population, small dev team and no real outside interest in the game except the extreme fanboys. Look at this forum... every thread was started by Orion, Avery, or some person with 1 post history saying " omg.. i came back.. the game is so awesome".

I guess that makes me a fanboy too then. First of all the dev team on AoC is still huge and not much changed since launch. Second of all the only guy here pointing fingers is yourself. Take a step back buddy, if the 500+ people or so dropping by here over the last week to say "yepp AoC is in very good shape now" are all fanboys, then... I guess there is nothing much more to discuss. Since you obviously have interest for AoC still, perhaps it's even time for yourself to calibrate some of your views by paying FC's a visit in Hyboria.

Like I've said before, I visited these forums daily before and after launch. Now when I came back, everything has changed. Most people here have some kind of hidden agenda. They only talk about positive stuff and how the game is awesome, although we all who are playing know Age of Conan still has tons of problems.
90% of players quit and they didn't all quit because of technical issues. All my friends who have quit, said they simply found the game boring and waste of time.
I'm waiting for a better MMO to launch. Meanwhile I'm paying the monthly fee and playing a couple of hours a week. Logging in just keeps getting harder and harder.

You sound like another troll... My point is if people want to come here because they're excited about something this is the right place for them to be. It's not like this is a Forum for a another game and they're trying to recruite.... This is the correct Forum for them to be; but why are people like you spending time in a Forum that you say is "rediculous"? You seem to even know people by their names, alias' and post counts. Do you feel like your purpose in life is to create some kind Forum "balance" by arguing peoples points as if there is some kind of argument to someone's opinion? Don't take you as pointing at "you". By you I mean all trolls.
This is the best post I have seen in months. I have seriously asked myself this question since day one in this forum. For me it's very easy to justify why I talk AoC over here. It's dead easy in fact, I play and like this game. This is the AoC forum, the place where you can discuss AoC.
I am not sure if it's going to be equaly easy for the hate crew to justify their massive posting over here. When I say massive posting, I mean probably 10 times more than me, that's playing the game. lol.
