Look. Just because you haven't had your beta invite, doesn't mean you need to make retarded threads like this. Why not sit back, wait for an invite/release of the game, or cancellation of the game? If it gets canned, then it can be classed as vapourware. The way it looks now, it clearly isn't.

I understand its frustrating when a game you've been waiting so long for keeps getting delayed. However, I won't boycott a game for such a silly reason.
I suggest you stop obsessing over it and find something to keep you occupied until DF hits retail. Worked for me, just started playing Lineage 2 which keeps me happy and entertained instead of bored and agitated.
More developers need to follow Blizzards example though, STOP SETTING RELEASE DATES!!! Whenever an industry journalist asks for one, just say "Its done when its done". I won't pass judgement on the game itself until i've played it, but Aventurines PR is utter shit.

You got a beta invite?
hes not referring to beta, hes talking about how it hasnt ben canned yet so therefore it cant be classified vaporware, especially with all the videos/screen shots/interviews/im shure im missing something but yeah.

Blizzard has the luxury of having more money than God. They can do that. Adventurine and most other game development companies are financed by someone that REQUIRES hard dates set before they will spend money or invest more money into the project. I guarantee you Tasos would love to never give a date until a month after release, but he's not the real one calling the shots.
If it's ever pushed back once again, this game will be the second Lengendary Vaporware in the game industry.

Aions a PvE game? Wow, you must know something the Aion devs/community don't.
Yep...dont be surprised, really. Sure you'll have the arena and safety pvp switch, but its a PvE centric game.
Unless you're in the NA/EU beta or have played the Korean retail version, you're simply full of shit. All the released information about Aion indicates its a factional PvP game with a heavy emphasis on siege warfare. Endgame character progression is going to based around PvP. Just because its not FFA PvP with full item-loot doesn't mean its not a PvP game.
And just because WoW has safety PvP and WAR has redundent no risk, no reward, scenario PvP doesnt mean their still not PvE centric with the illusion of player-driven environments. /shrug
All the disguised PvE centric games are PvE centric games to me....not that there's anything wrong with that, but dont pretend to give Darkfall a chance because you wont like it's openness and unforgiving environment.

So if it doesn't have full item-loot its not a PvP game?
Don't pretend like you know me. I was on the Rallos-Zek server back when I played EverQuest, so I know plenty about FFA PvP w/ item looting.

ohhh...you started your career with EQ...now im impressed. In EQ and WoW, PvP is an afterthought bolt-on feature. No player-driven influence or meaning to game-play. So no...I do not consider them to be PvP centric games at all. Darkfall will be a PvP centric game in the broadest sense of the terminolgy...not in its very linear and shallowest sense.

You'd figure there'd be some kind of universal definition of PvP that even the most stupid moron could understand. Something like "Player versus Player".
...
OH MAH GAWD!
If you're fighting player(s), and you're playing the game, you're doing PvP. Go figure. Just because it's not "hardcore" enough for some people doesn't mean it's not PvP anymore.
-------------------------------------- A human and an Elf get captured by Skaven. The rat-men are getting ready to shoot the first hostage with Dwarf-made guns when he yells, "Earthquake!" The naturally nervous Skaven run and hide from the imaginary threat. He escapes. The Skaven regroup and bring out the Elf. Being very smart, the Elf has figured out what to do. When the Skaven get ready to shoot, the Elf, in order to scare them, yells, "Fire!"

First, I added the Rallos-Zek bit as a response to your assumption I would be turned off by Darkfalls open and unforgiving environment.
Second, there was plenty of player-driven influence and meaning to game-play. In EQ, raid dungeons were social and bosses didn't spawn every few minutes. On Rallos-Zek, the top guilds could (and did) prevent anyone else from obtaining the best drops in the game. Often such guilds prevented the general population from even entering such areas period.
Third, by making such assumptions every post and doing so in an arrogant, condescending manner, you're coming off as a complete douche-nozzle.
