I just want to see who all plans on pre-ordering the game (and giving money) if things continue as they are. Just assume you will not be getting into the 'free trial' and no journalists are able to play the game... say here that you still plan on giving money for a pre-order.
If you will NOT give money, please don't post in this thread. I only want to see the people who are definitely going to preorder.

I will be going to.
Definitely
I will deff pre-order without a trial. $50 is worth the risk even though there really isn't any r isk but $50 isn't much so i don't care.
Looking for a new game to play

I will merely say i do not meet all of the criteria/stipulations you have listed in order to qualify a "valid" post in this thread.
wow.
Does everyone here also own a shamwow and oxyclean?
-------------------------
Yes, I will.
yes i will
No, but i do own some of the greatest games i've ever played in my entire life, and will never "Gamestop" them after my 120 hours + of game play with each, singleplayer RPG or not as opossed to todays standard (afternoon) of gaming. If you own some of the greatest games to you of all time, then perhaps you understand why these individuals are willing to bet a bit of money for a possibly big return. I you don't, you'll never understand what it is to bask in quality.
shamwows rock man...
and kilmoran has a very good point.

Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware
"Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product."

I don't think i will enjoy Stargate worlds. I haven't even paid attention to it after my preliminary review of the information available. There are some games i will purchase or invest in in a heart beat, and others i won't give the time of day. See the difference is that i don't go to their forums or any other and tal ktrash aobut them and whine and curse and throw a fit. If i don't want to play it, or feel it's going to "fail" i'm no where near it. For some reason, most people on the itnernet take the opposite approach and try to "inform the masses" like they are trying to save our souls fro mcorruption or some such thing. Until you start trying to charge me for your consultation however, i do not believe you are interested in my or anyone elses well being so much as venting your (used as a general term by the way) frustrations.
@ Shannia
But people still play and enjoy it. So really non of that matters, Half the people who play DF prolly wont like it ether. As long as I like it and a few others it doesnt really matter.
Depends on what kind of method of payment they accept, and the information they release before pre-orders become available.
I imagine they will either release a bunch of information, pertaining to pre-orders so on and so forth.
But I most likely will be.
wow...i was looking back in old dark and light threads and there is a thread EXACTLY like this about 70 or so pages back
The biggest point i will make about all of this (and sorry for semi hijacking this thread ) is that someone will inevitably vanguard any new anything. Technology, food products, drugs, and yes, even entertainments such as movies or videogames. It is these brave or foolish souls that end up being the measure for many who follow them (if they loo kfor reviews and all of that prior). Let them do this if that is what they want.
lol All of this everyone yelling at each other and saying that game will be bad and such. Reminds me step by step the month leading up to the launch of vanguard. I am sure this whole scenerio has played itsseld out many times before with many other games. Ill will be nice when the forums are actually used to talk about the game,
Hell, NO!!!
Althought I cant wait to put my hands in DFO (or at least at his concept), I will not fund another Dark & Light. We, consumers, need to send a ´stop´ sign to all those companies who promises something and wait us to fall for it for pure faith. We are responsible, also, for this kind of behavior IF we enforce it by funding it. Even Funcom wasnt sneaky as Aventurine is being...
Even though I guess I'm a naysayer, I will probably pre-order. I've donated more than the price they're asking to other mmo projects, most of which never even got off the ground.
I know for most it's the principle not the money but even if its a scam I'm happy to take that chance. I will pretty much play any new mmo and never put much stock in reviews so I would probably and up forking out sooner or later as I don't feel a free play time is a reality anymore.

Of course I will pay for pre order. Its an awesome chance to help Aventurine financially to make the game of my dreams. And I am really eager to start playing. So yea! Sure man!
one word no!
I totally understand this kind of action.. I caught myself a few weeks ago in the same thinking... However we HAVE to mature as consumers... We cant let this happen over and over again... We need to send a message to all those sneaky companies taht they cant hide the truth from us and expect us to follow them blindly. If we did that in the past we will NOT do that now... From where I know, this thread can be a ´trap´ to see if they can still hide from us and if how many of us are willing to follow and pay them blindly EVEN if there is no game at all!!! We may be giving birth to a new kind os scam... Not that DFO IS a scam, but the blind faith based on hope only can lead us to something like this... Cant we wait 1-2 months AFTER the official launch to buy from them? Is that so hard? It may avoid a LOT of problems...
But But But..Youll miss out on all the cool pre order stuff. Most pre orders normall come wiht something unique in game stuff. WIll be nice to see what they thrown in for us.
See to me... bating you with bribes (yes, it is a bribe) in order to pre-order is indicative of a scam. I would personally lose a bit of trust i nAventurine if they felt they needed anything BUT their game to sell their game, preorder wise.

I know what you are saying and I agree. However there is a line at which everyone will make their decision and everyones line will be different. For me, as it stands right now, I do not believe DF is a scam, in the past week there have been quite a few more leaks (as to be expected with non-friends joining beta).
Some leaks are favourable some not so. But as I said the leaks for me are more useful for what they state the game currently has in way of features active etc rather than personal likes and dislikes. At the same time however I only ever looked at this game as an alternative pvp fps mmo (they are a rare breed) it would seem by all accounts this is in atm, so it essentially has the basics of what I would pay for. whether it remains that way after the innitial purchase remains to be seen.
