I would never make a guild for the purpose of having numbers.There should be a reason for the players to gather in that guild.The guild should be based on group sizes ,so if DF is a 6 grp size,then make it in 6/12/18 increments.If i didn't make that clear enough,think of it this way you have 7 players in your guild but only 6 can party together,that other player will be left out,might as well not even be in the guild.The players should also be ABLE to do things together[same time line] ,that is if this game has any reason to be in a guild?if it is all about PVP,then the game will have zero purpose,no storyline,no reason for missions or quests.
Really i see TOO many players joining this game for PVP,so what will the purpose be in a guild? to gang up in numbers to PVP lesser lighter numbers?IDK there is a lot of people who need to feed their ego this way,whatever,i would not bother in a game like that for more than one day,there has to be some reason for playing ,outside of PVP,otherwise i would go play a real PVP game in UT/Quake/COD.
I hope Aventurine did not make this game PVP too simplify it's design.I mean is is quite simple to eliminate thoughtful quest lines,less npc's,less game code,less models,less speech overs if there is any?,no need to create dialogue,basically just let all the players go out there and kill each other,man that takes 20 seconds to think of an idea like that and just as simple to implement it,if follows all the other game PVP designs,and it will.
The game should have a ton ! of guild missions,maybe use ideas i have seen in other games like having monuments or structures that give guild rewards,but you have to protect them and hold them for a certain amount of time to gain the rewards.There could be crafting ideas thrown into the guild mix,IDK there is MANY ideas as from EQ2 guild ideas,AOC ideas ,something needs to be in there to make it have purpose.How about something along the lines as in Vanguard/ship building?We wil lsee just how much effort went into this game,i fear it is nothing but PVP,i really hope not /prays
I hope i went into enough detail as to why a guild should be neccessary in a game.If it is a game mechanic with no real purpose than to put up numbers then the game will be boring and fail bgitime.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

This is a pvp game man. I dont really care about cut scenes or epic quests. I was simply asking about guild sizes.
The guild I'm in has over 100.
So far im the only one.
Crafting and running in the forest by my self is my big ego
