Night-Elf....to be or not to be........

I think night elves are great and i want to be a hunter.....why do u guys and gals....like or dislike night-elves...

Taurens definetly look the most hardcore/badass. I'm not into the panzy lookin night elves and humans.

Night Elves just look like fruitified versions of the Trolls

And anyway, Night Elves, and Undead will be where all the Special Ed players end up pooling, so I'd like to avoid that as much as possible.

Bah the special ed guys wont make it past lvl 1. So get out of the newb zones and fast as possible and you'll be with smart people. Heh trolls and orcs have the worst strating location, its hard to figure out.(I was in stress test) plus they say that nightelves have the fastest newb zone to lvl out of =p

I was in stress test as well. As one of the top of the class, level wise, it was pretty damn lonely, but yeah. My comments on the NE/Undead, were from having to run through the NE noob zones for some lvl 30ish quests, and an undead alt I made on Archimonde.

I won't play Undead, since I'll be on the PvP server, and I saw what I did to Undead as a Pally. Even if Pally sense undead was/is changed to NPC only, they're mean enough as it is, without the extra anti-undead powers. I think a Troll rogue for random gankings, and a Troll Priest for group play will work for me.

I did have fun while I was doing the sunken ship quests in the Wetlands. The Undead on the ships would turn you into Undead, which was pretty cool.

Your question and poll contradict each other. You ask if we like or dislike night Elves, then the poll pretty much is asking what everyone will be.

The blatent question refers particularly to Night Elves. Why?

Oh, and 80% of the people in Stress test were Night Elves or somewhere around there (Including me) LOL

I will not make a Night Elf again even thou I enjoyed the Druid I had.

*Played WoW Stress test and it's a Great Game, but awaiting EQ2 also to be able to test it and not judge it until then*

Yepp.. at first I was thinking of going undead but since they are so popular I am more focused on tauren or orc now....

I get the impression that WoW is suposed to be a joke story wise.. And focus 100% on humor, instead of normal fantasy stuff, so I was might just gonna make a Gnome Warrior, calling myself naked-midget and walk around naked with nothing but a fishball on my head...

Som people indeed says that this is monty phyton and the holy grail 110%.. And that was why they choose the cartoon humor art design!

But that was not my impression in the beginning first time I saw the cinematic trailer. It looked very epic Lord of the ringish... Which I thought was very neat:)

 

But if it indeed has a serious story... with epic tunes and cool cut scenes and stuff i might make an Human Paladin and role play him!

     I can't chose one of the races to be my favorite...they all have their ups and downs, but I can choose my least favorite race and thats humans. They are always the standard race and I never seem to go for the standard, but I will try every race just for fun.

I am from a smaller percentage of those who actually choose to level in a region other than their own. During my travels as a night Elf hunter, I fell in love with the little town of Thelsamar.

So when the release comes, I think I'll be crowding the dwarven lands instead

In the mean time, I think I'll try the undead for open beta. Don't want to have to start my char from scratch 3 times in a row.

I'm really torn on the whole Night Elf issue.  I love the race...they're gorgeous.  Their lands are pretty, especially Teldrassil.  And during the stress test, I really enjoyed their quests over some of the other races I played. 

Beyond that, though...I'm a horde girl.  The horde races are a blast....definitely my favorites.

I figure I'll make another Night Elf druid when the game is released.  But I've always been the type of person that hates going along with whatever is the most popular.  I think in this case, I'll just have to ignore their popularity.  There's no reason to avoid playing a race/class that I enjoy, just because they're popular.

U know i totally agree with you about popular sux.....but you see i chose night-elf....without playing the beta...so i didnt know it would be so popular....wich really sux but im still keeping my choice....i love them to much....ill just have to deal with the overpopulation....

I am definately going to play a Night Elf for release.  They are the coolest looking race IMO.  I can't decide whether to play a NE Priest or Hunter though, I played both in the ST.  Both have their strengths.  Also Night Elves have an awesome place to start and explore, its by far the coolest out of all the races.  I found it rather funny while I was in Darkshore that Night Elves are about a head taller than Humans.  Makes Humans look so shrimpy hehe.   Humans need their walking reworked.  They woddle(sp?) when they walk.  They also look bow legged.

I played a NE Warrior in ST and liked the NE areas alot. I started a Dwarf Warrior and a human Pally but only played them for about 5 or 10 mins. I will be playing a NE Warrior , Hunter , Human Pally and maybe a Dwarven Warrior when the game comes out. Depending on how many chars you can have I will make others to play around with them. Sometimes I think that can be more fun some times is just messing around with low lvl alts. Not sure on the statement that a large majority of the peeps played NE, but I do know the NE noob area was kinda crowded the first day. But I would guess most of the noob areas were also crowded on the first day. So my vote would go NE. I think they look the coolest and NE females are HOT I will also say play with the other races and see what you like.

Gonna be a NE Druid, I like the versatility. 

Mainly going NE because one of my good friends wants to be a NE hunter.  may join the guild he wants to strike up too.  if it sucks or falls through I'm defecting to the horde and I'm going Tauren!
