The Not-so-great Ryzom Debate (Pros vs. Cons)

Ok, so this game has gotten a lot of bad press and a lot of good press and I think pretty much anyone trying to follow along would be pretty confused at this point.

So, in an attempt to flesh out the real Pro's and Con's for anyone interested I'd like to stage this debate. I opened it via a response to a post by Neas but is open to all. I completely support free speech and agree that everyone has the right to post whatever they want to in response, but in order to make this thread as readable and user-friendly as possible I request (and it's just a request) that the following guidelines be kept.

1) Please bullet points, preferably with a short word or two to define the general idea followed by a dash, and then the body of your point about that general idea.

2) Please no profanity, name calling, or vague bashing of any game really. Let's try and stay strictly to a basic Pro vs. Con mentality.

3) Please quote previous bulleted points when making a response that it is as readable as possible.

4) At the very beginning of your post put PRO or CON so define which side you are taking with your post.

A participant can be both Pro and Con, but if so please make seperate posts for your Pro and Con statements.

Since I get the general feeling that this game is on the defensive I will give the Con guys/gals the first opportunity and everyone else can chime in as they feel so inclined.

I hope for a clean friendly debate here and hope that everyone enjoys it, learns a little, and goes on to enjoy whichever games they enjoy in the future!
