How Do I unsub from game ........?

Its not that its not a good game .......I just cant get it to work

It played well up to today now contant crashes

So Id like to unsubsribe from this game before the 30 days that I got with game is over so they dont hit my Credit card

Ive looked everywhere to unsub but it does not have that option

Well If you give us some Info about the Problem Maby we can help.

But to UNsub the game Dont go to the VGPlayers site. Go to the Station one. Log in there and go to Subscriptions Info. there will be a list of all the game just Unsub from there and Try and remove the CC Info for good mesure.

Edit: There is a Great big Station.com Button on the Top of all the pages. thats what to use.

Now can we Try and help you stay or were you Being polite and just dont wana stay

Go to Station and click unsub.

If you want help with the crashing post here or on VGplayers in the tech forum. If you post your log, it should tell us exactly why you are crashing.

I am having the same issues. Played fine on trial then the second I subbed crash to desk at startup. There are threads on this on the VG forums however I find the whole thing disheartening. This issue was happeneing two years ago at launch and its still happening. I'm done with VG. The community isnt the greatest either but thats neither here nor there, just made the decision to move on easier.

They really need to fix this game, this crashing issue is really old.

Ive tried this but it does not say anywhere that I can unsub

It wont let me remove my CC information without providing a game card or another creditcard

Its says my plan is non reacurring ........but then just underneath that says my card will be billed next month

Every other game ive unsubbed from flawlessly and easily.........if this was not sony I would have called my CC company and told them to lock my card down and give me new card with new numbers

Sony likes to make people upset ?

On mine it has a Change and Cancel Button. Use the cancel button.

If its not there It might not have updated from the Free time. Best bet is to call Soe and ask. I just hit the unsub button to test it and it worked fine... Either your not in the right place(Think you are tho from the post) Or Soe has some bonky setup if your still in the free time.. Either way if the cancel button dident do it or its not there then call support.

When you are logged into your account via the sony website do you see a button called "Payment Sources"? It's right below Payment History. When I clicked that I could see my card info and there was a delete button.

They really need to fix this game, this crashing issue is really old.

As I mentioned to the other poster, if you want help with crashing, post your log, you'll get immediate help on VGplayers. Not many crash anymore, but a few still do and it can be frustrating. I player shouldn't have to troubleshoot their own crashing issues.

However, looks like a big patch went in today that includes......

* Fix for animation related crashes.

* Fix for large memory leak.

* Various region server crash fixes.

* Fixed the social server crash.

The server is having problems with the increase in players, specifically the region and social server crashes. It's been a long time since they've had that problem.... hopefully this patch fixes it.

Pretty simple to cancel... Just log into the game patcher. On the left side are several buttons. Click on my account. It should be obvious from there.

Reguarding crashing issues, definitely some issue with your setup. I can't remember when VG last crashed on me.

Try running msconfig and setting up a clean boot without startup stuff that might be causing problems. Test the program. If it still crashes then maybe it is a driver or memory issue. Get a free memory tester like www.memtest86.com/ run it for several hours. If that looks good then check that your drivers are uptodate. You can turn off sound in game to see if your sound driver is causing the issue.

You can also look in the vg directory for logs. There are some good log files that give some details about what might be causing the crash. Look for logs in the bin directory. If there is a specific file cauing a problem delete it and restart it will redownload the file. Also you could go into the bin directory and delete the contents of the caches folder. restart the game and it will redownload this. You can also select view details from the patcher and click the full scan button. This will cause it to scan all the files. This takes awhile but is faster then reinstalling.

Finally maybe something went bad on the install and you can reinstall...

Yes I have clicked on this button called payment Sources

There is only 3 options when I get there .........

1) "update".....from there nothing I can do to delete or unsub or change other than giving them another CC number

2) "add another" ........once again nothing other than adding another CC number

3) "OK" ........nothing other than going back to main account page after clicking on it

I played the trial .........bought the game in a store activated game by using CD key from the links provided to do so after I obtained lvl10

Put in my info ........name address CC numbers when promted

Now im good to go till 3/3/09 then they bill my Credit card with NO way to stop them from charging me ...... evidently from every link I have tried (unlike other games its Easy to stop the charging from happening through very easy links provided)

Looks like I have to call the Credit card company itself .........and If I have to do that I think I dont trust "SOE" to play their game in the future

Its a shame cause im actually liking game ........but I dont trust somebody or a company that makes it a big secret how to unsub when the "industry standard" of an unsub button is not there (well it seems to be there for everyone else but me)

Come to think of it when I played everquest 1 SOE billed me 2 more months even after I unsubbed (im not a SOE hater other than them canceling motor city online but this latest episode with them is leaving a real bad taste in this MMORPG players mouth)

I have no problem getting into game after I restarted PC .....no crashes since

My PC does have some stuttering here and there with all the highest lvl rendering set on ......(amd 4200 dual core with win xp pro ........nvidia 7600gt with 3 gigs of ram and a creative soundblaster xfi gamer edition)

The only vid card drivers I use are the nvidia 84.32 for win xp ......as they work great in my other mmo I play www.battlegroundeurope.com/ (formally known as ww2online mmorpg .com needs to be updated to reflect name change) The newer nvidia drivers run that game with my set up like junk no so with the older drivers

ive never had a problem unsubbing from a game till I ran into SOE .......( I really wanted to give them a second chance but after this dealling with them Im about to rethink my strategy when trying future products from them)

Btw I love Vangard (even play on PVP server cause im a hero )

Unsubbing from soe games is easy. You are going into the wrong option. Try subscriptions.

From basically anywhere you just click on my account... go to www.vgplayers.com click on my account in the upper right. Log in.

Then at the page you see look at button "subscription info" with the following desciption

View or change your subscription information

* View, start, or cancel subscriptions

* Change subscription plans

* Apply different or new payment sources

When you click it it will show all the game and a list of your current subscriptions. Click the cancel button.

Really I'm at a loss how they could make it easier.... The button in the patcher I refered to takes you directly to the screen. You even mention hitting the first button on your account screen. Really if you read a bit before clicking it isn't that hard :P
