You gotta be joking. You're huge badass super soldier with high tech guns and fucking bullet time on demand. And we all know that FEAR is mostly empty scare tactics which pose no real threat to you.
Good shooter but not very good as a horror game if you ask me.
Get a good sound card and 5.1 surround sound and go play Doom 3. When that game came out I would shut all the lights in my room blast my sound blaster and that was some scary shit!

I think it was more that monsters popped out of little closets and surprised the shit out of you.

I always remember that in the beginning of doom 3 before the portal opens that if you go into the toilets and enter one of the cubicles [dont remember which one] if you listened to the sound of the water hard enough you would get a hint of wispering voices.......creepy.
Another great example of Moore's Law. Give people access to that much space (developers and users alike) and they'll find uses for it that you can never imagine. "640K ought to be enough for anybody" - Bill Gates 1981
To tell you the truth any game where a monster pops out from no where, and when the screen is sorta red when you get injured i get freaked out..Thats when i start sweatging..but eating something always solve the problem
The problem with FEAR is that while the paranormal crap is well done, it generally presents zero real threat to you.
Doom3 on the other hand gets you to the point where absolutely nothing happening when entering a room is nearly as freaky as the actual attack a few corridors down.
