I feel sorry for Adventurine
Jesus wept, some of you on this forum are hilarious.
Everyone should take a step back and just spend five minutes just looking at these forums.
Its entierly made up of:
1) people bashing darkfall, its boss or its supposed reality,
2) people posting things about how the game is going to be awesome and can't wait,
3) people bashing the fanboys from number 2,
4) people from number 2 bashing the people from 1,
Its friggin hilarious!
And inbetween all this, some OP's actually posts well constructed, informative posts using only fact, which is what you want on any forum, and its completly trashed buy the one and only group of darkfall supporters.
Have you got no shame? any of you darkfall fans out there? its ok bashing threads that contain no merit what soever BUT how on earth can you bash and insult someone who tells the users of this site the actually truth and facts about a game?
Your not neandathals ffs.
You know who I feel sorry for? Adventurine.
Why? because if and when darkfall releases, its primary core player base is going to be made up with the majority of you lot I don't think any developer would want those type of people playing thier game.

Well i don't think that Aventurine will have the luxury to be picky on what type of people are going to make up it's playerbase, to be completely honest i'll be suprised if it gets the audience it originally aimed for.....

I feel sorry for Aventurine because what they're trying to achieve is noble, but they are headed by a complete clown in the form of Tasos.
Well i don't think that Aventurine will have the luxury to be picky on what type of people are going to make up it's playerbase, to be completely honest i'll be suprised if it gets the audience it originally aimed for.....
Yes, they do have the "luxury".
But, they have missed the boat.
MMO communities are weird in that there is a fair amount of relationship between forum community and in game community.
What they should have done is maintain their community properly and discourage the sort of behavior some of the Fanbois have displayed.

You got it all wrong, bro. Its not the company that should be pitied, its the people. You can't blame native Americans for being naturally curious and naive and trusting European explorers? At first, they (native Americans) even thought that a person on a horse was one creature. Who do you blame? Native Americans for being naive or Europeans who abused this to their own perverted agendas?
Same with DF, a lot of pro or con voices come without first hand knowledge. People voice their voices based on what little they know about the game, most of which comes from the developers. ANd you absolutely cannot trust devs because they are the most biased party here. Blind following ("OMG DF is gonna pwn the world") or blind hatred ("DF will suck becuase Jesus said so") should all be ignored. Do not confuse those 2 with valid critisism ("i doubt DF will be good because the company does shady business, poor PR, not a big budget") or simple hopes and dreams ("I think DF will do great because it has some great ideas").
Remember, if someone does not agree with you, that does NOT automatically mean that he is a fanboi or a hateboi. A healthy discussion is not bashing.

Just remember if the game is good you are the winner because you have something to play. If it's bad there is no winner. Trolls never win. They only die a little inside every day.
I wouldnt feel sorry for them...their lack of communication with the DF community is the main reason for all the backlash they get. I want DF to be all that its hyped to be...unfortunatly the reality is more likely to be a dissapointment.
I wouldn't feel sorry for Tasos. I think he is an idiot, but he is not the Aventurine team. If I was a humble code monkey on their team that just wanted to make DF happen for the fans I would be really disheartened if I came to these forums.

If another MMO gets through Beta Test with a whole heap of game breaking bugs, balance and game play issues that the Beta Testers should have bloody well pointed out to the Devs I will scream.

The testers are testing, and posting very constructive criticism and proposals to fix bugs. Aventurine is listening, and even quoting testers in their ideas for fixes and tweaks to make the game better.

Would be nice if their corporate site had something more than just a logo ripped from one of their vids.
But yeah, I cant feel pitty for a company that allows its people to act the way they do.

Aye, I think Tasos did come in after, but he was probably given the spot of VP due to funding or something. Like I said, it would be really nice that if in the last few years they would have added some info to their corporate site other than just a logo, 2 links and a link to the DFO site...
