AOC is still a buggy mess it seems

Taken from the official forums. This thread was actually locked for not being "constructive" enough. Seems not much has changed since the Failcom spin days.
Just as a sideline, Tahitoa the head moderator needs to be fired. Locking a justifiably irate feedback post about the game being totally bugged, laggy and broken on the grounds of it not being constructive enough is just censorship.

Default Can you please start fixing the freakin game?
Okay, at this point im writing Im red hot and steaming after perhaps the worst ecperience in wing 2 and perhaps this entire game.
Sure we are perhaps not the most uber raiding guild, however we have killed AHazu and Incubus/Succubus several time since the last 2 months.
However Since merge or whatever it seems wing 2 has completely ****ed up. That ontop of the 100% screwed Latency, and random DC and whet ever else crap the freakin lag can facilitate of **** on the worst possible times.
On Ahazu you have 3 tries, after that you have to reset, wait 10 mins, clear 50% trash and retry on boss. Thats around 15-20 mins wasted on absolutely nothing! On top of that petitioning is now slower than ever, so no help there. You have the fix for this on TL, but NONO it has to come with the god damn rest of it.
Now after you wipe on the first try its completely random how lucky you can be. The poison can randomly hit for 4k hits, and on top on lag issues its ****ed up.
Our MT PoM at some fights cannot heal because his heals are bugged, and thus the MT stands little chance. Working as intended or what FC?
Inc/Suc it seems you also only have 1 shot at, since after 1st wipe they might also randomly bug on inertia or something else.
And lets not start to talk about Seruah and Chatha.
Funcom, have you implemented Murphys law into this game as code or do you simply not have any clue how to fix end game content, and only on like 4 month basis?
I have been here a long time, but sometimes your slowness andinabilities to fix issues makes me wonder what I am doing here. It cant begood for my health.

got to agree never ever seen so many DC before as we had today it was insane,this is just stupid no tbh its just waste of time,i can understand a coupple of DC but today it was like whole groups DC'ed at the same time,in every damn try we did

frustration it's not an excuse for ranting on the Age of Conan forums.
Constructive criticism is always welcome but rants are never working and there is little or no feedback at all that can be gathered from them.
I think that our Forum Rules and Social Guidelines are very clear in this respect :
Ranting is posting irate and normally nonconstructive comments. please do not rant.

I would have deleted it also. Whining with explicatives =/= "constructive" IMO.
I'm not saying the points are not valid, but perhaps stating them in a respectful manner would have garnered a more favorable response.
If some asshole has crappy internet connection doesnt mean that AoC is buggy.
Truth is, that I didnt play today but for last weeks I havent single crash. Our guild killed every raid boss except last one and even if it could use some tweaks they are all killable.
I have a few disconnects (no more than 5 for that 3 weeks) and I allways can connect back in less then 10seconds.
So until you experience any problems by yourself, stop posting bullshits about bugs here!

Well as for the game being a buggy mess i can't really comment on that cuz i didn't try the game yet but, as a starter it doesn't look good....as two days ago i followed the white mammoth ad to the website to give this game a try, as i heard that the game is getting better and better by the day, i got exited and bought the damned thing off their web site and started to download the 13GB game just to find that the official download er is bugged and keeps giving errors at a certain point, so i tried asking over the official forums for a solution just to find out that im not the only one with the problem and luckily found a torrent to the damned thing, after the download i find that there is still a 2.8 gb patch to download....and guess what!!! the only way to download the patch is through a very, extremely slow patcher that also happens to stop downloading at a certain point......anyway i finally managed to get the game to start just to find out that the account is frozen for some god only knows what reason it is, although the damned web site says the account is open AND PLAYABLE!!!! and thats my experience with this thing...i wont call it a game......

Everything is working perfectly for me, hardly an issue at all and I'm on crom. I had resubbed today and playing currently on crom.
I would say it is highly likely an issue on the user's computer and or his internet being craptastic.
**as for reply above me, go use a download manager like flashget as it fixed that issue for me months back
I have had no problems with end game content, or any content in general lately. A little lag, but that is the fault of my PC....everything seems good.

I don't understand how people like you can spend so much energy trying to bash a game you obviously aren't playing.
A Classic adventure in FunCom Customer Service and Game Support, 7+ years running an MMO and they still have those departments running like it was day one.
AoC crashed on me once. Oh and there was this other time it seemed like it was a bit laggy.
Seriously though, there's only one problem I've been having regularly, and that's with my optical (usb) mouse. It keeps getting turned off while I'm playing. Little red light on the bottom goes off and everything. Only way to fix it is to unplug it, and plug it back in. Just once every few hours, but its happened a bunch of times, and only while playing AOC. I don't know what to make of it, never had an issue like this with a game before.
..but aside from that, stable and lag-free in my experience.
When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.
Tahitoa made the right decision locking that thread - it's a rant and the criticism is not put forward in a constructive manner. If you take the parts you highlighted, removed the expletives and then posted in the bug report thread, I'm sure it would not have been deleted.
This is just one cry baby in a sea of content.
You will always get at least one, no matter what or how good the game may be.
I stopped reading at the point you said "your PoM could not heal because the heals do not work sometimes".
If your PoM's heals dont work, thats because the player is too incompetent to actually aim their heals. No need to blame the game when the mechanics are working properly - if your heals "Arent working" and you cant figure out that it is because you are not aiming them, you dont deserve to have your complaints taken in to consideration
The guy was obviously frustrated and upset but lacked the ability to give the constructive feedback without the major ranting going on. It was to excessive and deserved to be locked in my opinon.
It seems the poster is way to emotionally involved to post when he did.
I can't say I have read the same thing in the same area's from other players, and I believe there is a fix on TL too. So they are doing something about these issues in raids.
There are quite a few raid guilds out there who follow the same patten and report a different experience.

I think the main feedback the OP will get is from the replies in this thread to the contrary. Maybe if the title was changed to "some parts are still buggy" or "raids still need working on more" it would be more appropriate and this deals with a specific circumstance.
No that isn't just a rant and that's not just happening to people who have pc worth less than 10k (speaking from the USA side). People who are paying customers HAVE A RIGHT to get mad---that's life.

These are 3 threads regarding lag problems--all on the first page of the US tech forums.
I remember back in the OOM days before FC admitted there was a problem...all these peeps said the same old tired thing--It's your PC...It's your internet connection. In this particular case--it was the guy's whole raid that was D/C ing. yeah he had a right to flip out--I'll bet you anything he quit.
And i just love FC's response to irate customers--they lock their threads. You know I want a job like that, when an angry customer is flipping out--I simply hang up on them--because that's good for the business. FC is a ridiculiously stupid company.

Between all the evidence you have (apparantly) between Funcom and Blizzard with deceptive practices towards investors.. you should do them a favor as I pointed out various times above.. and contact the SEC or the equiviliant for whatever area you want to contact.

I miss the AoC forums, have to love any board that let's the community flame you en masse before they close your thread. It's totaly reasonable to lock a thread that rants, but the folks who flame him for it get to keep going with impunity, just so damn Classy! It gives you a great sense of the quality of the community FC wants to propagate.

On the AoC boards you get these random people who make these threads by people you never hear from again. You never see that in the mainstream games--it's extremely suspect to viral marketing. I like to think people see through it.

::::chuckle::: there is no viral marketing , just ask any fan of AoC. All of these one thread wonder posters who threads about how wonderful the game is are just a coincidence. My favorites are by the posters who spend a few months trolling another games forums then suddenly discover the wonders of AoC. Anyway never under estimate the stupidity of people, they still believe politicians want to help them.
While I would like to think that Funcom has learned from the release I have a feeling the marketing is still the same old slimy mess.

Difference you have the in game experience right now and not something from half a year to go by, unlike some who hang around touting the opposite with old hat.
Your experience is better because it is current and accurate for the masses.
