Let us see, there are a few intresting games that will come...

Mortal online: Swedish game losely based on UO but with good graphics and many new features... Releases this summer.

World of darkness online: Icelandic/american game of gothic horror with vampires, werewolfs, mages and more. Made partly by MMO veterans, partly by pen and paper rpg veterans. Releases next year?

The old republic: Canadian Star wars MMO, made by Bioware and their story based style will be intresting in a MMO. Release date unknown.

Guildwars 2: RvR based American game in a open world made by the team that gave us GW and Warcraft 3. Have some of the best programmers in the bussiness. Release: Late 2009?

Those are my keep on eye list right now, there are others like Bethesda and Blizzard who have game in development but little is known about them.

I doubt GW2 will be RvR based since the developers specifically avoided making the battles large scale in GW. It will be competetive PvP based as it's predecessor with some features demanded by whining carebears.

Basically theres a ton of MMORPGs getting released this year and the next.

It has never been this exiting as a MMO player, imo.

The DCUO/CO situation is an interesting one, I find.  Both titles are being released on consoles, the PS3 and 360 respectively, as well as on PC.  As a result, a certain outcry of fanboyishness is resulting from them, as the Sony & Microsoft fans are just itching for any excuse to claw eachother's eyes out.  One side is boasting the lore and history of the DC Universe, Superman, Batman, and so on.  The other sports some of the most expansive character creator and customization options available in any MMO.  Both, however, have an actiony gameplay style and lots of people in colorful tights.

It also gives us the chance to look at these console gamer people and giggle, knowing that MMOs tend to be better received on the PC anyway.  That, and we have access to both of them, rather then just one or the other.

    Playing: Nothing
Played: Champions Online, CoX, STO, PSO, WoW, lots of free-to-play crap
Looking Forward To: DC Universe Online, Blade and Soul

With the many seconds you have stolen from us and used yourself to read what we have written with those stolen seconds you could have easily looked to the right hand side of the main page and looked at all the most anticipated/hyped games currently in development.
