Oh i think the fighter revamp could and imo should go back to the drawing board as it stands its a mess..it says something that to me the best part of it is the fecking agro meter and that utter shite that most players will turn off within moments of using it.
Why the dev feels this urge to keep chopping and changing classes is beyond me,we've had it done twice now since the games launch, and i supported the last 2 sets of changes becuase the game had a compitent producer at the helm, not this buffoon the game has now,if it goes live i do fear for the longterm health of the game.
Thank you all for the great feedback and bugs concerning the Lavastorm revamp adventuring quests. I wanted to let you know of a bunch of changes that I just got done with and are heading your way, pending QA approval. I don't know when theses changes will hit Test or Test Copy, but they are coming!
Quests
* "Rock Collecting" - The gray rocks are no longer harvestable after completing the quest.
* "Passing the Stones" - Dropping the okoute stones in the separate caves will now result in an orb spawning near the player and will remove one stone from the player's inventory.
* "Crystal Replacement" - Only one Invading Brute is triggered by the same player at a time.
* "Spreading Trouble" - The number of void-touched creatures has been increased and the amount of time between spawns has been lowered.
* "Booming Business" - Adventurers now get a message when they gather lava rocks from Sootfoot mining carts.
* "Lava Crystal Therapy" - Multiple quest accomplishments can no longer be gained from a single Magmatic Crystal.
* Magnurmal's quests are no longer gated by completing Smapty's quests.
* "Spreading Trouble" - Now has a counter to keep track of how many void-touched creatures have been slain.
* "Elemental Problem Solved" - The area at the deepest floor of Najena's Sanctum now updates the quest.
* “Beastie Bronco” - Quest can now be completed!
* A plethora of quest journal and dialog spelling, grammar and typo bugs have been corrected in the Sootfoot and Order of Flame quests.
NPCs
* Just outside the tunnel leading into Lavastorm there's now a young Sootfoot giving players directions to Blisterzonk.
* Smakametta <Sootfoot Armorsmith> has been convinced to start using his skills to mend your equipment too!
* Boiltoe <Sly Sootfoot Trader> is willing to be your broker if you have completed several of the Sootfoot quests.
* Sootfoot faction merchant items should now specify the faction needed to purchase them.
* Lava crabs around the Shrine of Thunder are no longer aggro.
As far as I can tell SK's aren't being hit real bad...yeah they are getting a little dps hit,but they was improved so much awhile back that they are still going to be a good class.
Another new feature coming with GU51 is GPU shadows. Instead of depending on your CPU for shadows, you can now use your video card. I've tried them ont est, they run better for me, and are 'softer'. Not as blocky. Trees also now show leaves. There are a few bugs currently, to light, low rez, but they are updating them soon.

Hey sweet...I love shadows on in this game but they are a big drain on my performance. I have a nice Video card though,so hopefully these will work better.
As many of you know, we've been working on Elements of Corruption (Game Update 51) for some time...there really is a lot of good stuff coming, including new zones, new raids, new quests, a revamp of Lavastorm, the list seems endless.
However, we're not quite ready to release it. I know many of you were expecting us to do so this week or next, but at this point, we just need some more time to spend working on it so that it's just right for all of you. Please be patient with us while we finish polishing the update, and as soon as we have a good date that we can ship out all of this exciting goodness, we'll let you know.
Also, for those of you who are trying to claim the item as promised in the Beckett's magazine promotion, it will postpone that item as well. We hope you understand, and certainly appreciate your patience.
No surprise they had to delay it,it was after all slated for after the ahem "fighter revamp",trying to push it out before that was always going to lead to the delay
Gonna resub this friday, i never really got passed level 10, dont know why, but ima make a new toon and do the TD questline and see all the zones, im glad SOE is doing something good with this game.
Speaking briefly to the developers after the tour, I learned that they intend to alternate future game updates between content updates like this one and feature updates (like the Fighter revamp.)
Fighter revamp is officially scrapped. Lavastorm revamp will be released "soon", but the fighter revamp is no more. Test server will be purged next couple of days and testers will have to /testcopy any characters back to the server.

Well the fighter revamp is working out well for them isnt it?
If that is the case we'll be lucky to see another 2 LUs this year

Right now the plan is for (the aggro meter) to still go out.
The next update to test should include all of the features that have been accumulating over the past couple of months minus the fighter changes.

Looks like GU51 goes live tomorrow at 7am PST. Probably be a pretty long update.
