copy n paste from gamespot about blizzard activision posting 4Q loses. i know wow aint dying, not trying to say it is just thought it was pretty scary that no one is safe in this economy.

Why?
Activision-Blizzard deferred a LARGE portion of their revenue. Basically that means they didnt claim money they made for this quarter. Dont know why but they did.
Activision-Blizzard actually had one of the best quarters for a video game company ever.

With 2.3 Billions $ they can solve the economic crisis in america very easily IMO.

Its a problem of two different numerical systems. Im from europe, with 2.3billion $ you could by small countries here. I didnt knew that billion has different meanings in the world. My bad.

Even if they are officially posting losses, their operating profits were 429 million dollars, so in reality they are making truckloads of money.

And added as well is the fact that they may do tactical economic changes to increase and decrease the result for a year as well. I e postpone certain costs to next fiscal year or take the cost for upcoming project this year etc.
