The least desirable class to play

Never played (and I've played alot of games) a true cleric or true Tank. Nothings in concrete but I think I want to dabble with a true tank. Tired of lasting three seconds in PvP. Maybe a cleric, only cause games have been going down hill in regards to ease of getting groups and healers are always welcome. Tanks in City of H did get a power that made them completly invulnerable which was absolutely stupid. No need for anyone else in the group. We just tagged along and watched. We need games to go back to making it so every class is it's own unique talent and is a viable asset to a group.

In the long run I want to try them all. The priest class isn't something I'm really into but I'm still going to play one just because.

Coldmeat. . .next time you respond directly to someone, actually read their post. . .you should have learned reading comprehension in 4th grade, unless you haven’t made it that far yet.  Not only did I never say anything about grouping, your comment is actually insightful because you really cant realize the value of any of those classes unless you group. . .another downside to the lack of playability of the classes.  Also, I didn’t say anything about any of those classes being challenging. . .but since you pulled that one out of you’re a%$, your right again. . .if you want the challenge of being a pure support class and get pummeled while soloing, then go for it. . .again, there are more advantages to the class playability while grouping.  And once again, each of those classes are more tolerable in the more dumbed down PvE focused servers.  Now I really think each of the classes has worth, but I’m being a little harsh to make the point about those classes role and their range in PvE versus PvP environments.

Also have to remember one thing about the priest.

Everyone will want to group with you... you'll get nice armor, different weapons from mages, etc...

It's going to be good. :)

    Mage or priest for me...

    Gnome/Mage or Dwarf/Priest

I think that would rock! image

I did notice a sever lack of priests during the stress test.  On Archimonde our guild was the largest and I dont remember having one priest in it, and if we did, I just didnt notice it.  The Priest class has a ton of potential to kick butt in a variety of ways, I just dont feel like playing one for a couple of reasons.  I dont want to just heal and use the few damages spells I have.  I dont want to be the first one targeted in PvP.  I want to be able to have a variety of skills to use at one time rather than using the same ones over and over again.

I remember with my warlock it was 1) Send in Voidwalker 2) Cast Curse/DOT 3) Shadowbolt till mob was dead.  Not to mention on the few raids I went on I got owned faster than you can say "Warlock."

I want to be the one that does the owning, which is why Im thinking about going rogue.

    From what I just read about the priest, I see no sort of "root" spells...  only;

Shackle Undead - Shackles the target undead enemy for up to X sec. Any damage caused will release the target. Only one target can be shackled at a time.

But that's no use for a PvP match...  it will be very "odd" playing a priest since a lot of their spells are for PvE...  we'll just have to see what happens.

I can remember playing Lineage II and being one of the last to be hit... I was a dwarf, tons of HP and couldn't really do any damage... it sucked... game sucked... :)

I must admit Priests are unappealing

Now playing: VG (after a long break from MMORPGS)
Played for more than a month: Darkfall online, Vanguard SOH, Everquest, Horizons, WoW, SWG, Everquest II, Eve

Well priests do have some CC spells, er, at least one.  I hear Psychic Scream is a bitch in dueling/one-on-one PvP.  They get that spell of and they can pretty much beat you around like a rag doll.

For me, warriors are just a no go. I like Hybrids a lot, I like to be able to do several things at once.. a warrior is a warrior is a warrior. You take your stick, and you hit it over the head. if I wanna do that, I can go to my regular training... Anythign with flashy effects get me all wobbly though.

Only game I wait for right now: Imperator.
    Go Mythic!

Psychic Scream - The caster lets out a psychic scream that causes X nearby enemies to run away. This is a good crowd control spell when pulls go bad. Psychic Scream has a chance to break when the feared target is damaged.

    Doesn't sound to flashy...

I put down "stick to one character" because i've always been one of them "alts are the debil" types of people. Having said that, without being givin the option I've chosen, i'd probably be in a toss-up between Priest and Druid. Then again I've always been the type of player who likes dealing a good source of the pain against my enemies, so i'd probably stray away from any healing type class.

While you are feared they can A) Heal themselves B) Buff themselves C) Drink health/mana potions D) back up and start applying the damage spells E) All of the above.  It gives the priest the time and space he/she needs to recover from any damage its opponent has done and then spank the crap out of you.

But it only works for NPCs though...

What good is it for PvP, that's my question.

If that's the case then it will rock,  but I'm still leaning towards NPC only...

We'll just have to wait and see.

Its PvP enabled also... It was used on me in a PvP fight with my warrior vs a priest.... freaking annoying ass spell... you run around in random directions EVEN INTO MOBS!!!!... I was lvl 14 in ashenvale doing PvP and all the mobs around were lvl 20+ so when I charge/hamstring this priest he does the scream and BAM I run into 3 yes 3 lvl 21 spiders and die to the spiders instead of the priest ROFL.

The Warrior class seems shallow to me... always has. I'll be an Undead Priest when the WoW hits the shelves. I've always liked being the healer/support guy. Someone has to heal people with all their miscellaneous boo-boos.::::15::

Awesome.  You just sold me on what class I want to be.  And just think about all the uber high spells you get later in the game.  imageimageimage
