5 Movies that make me wish for the Camelot glory days.
Everytime I see one of these , it makes me want to resub. I have a few times , who knows maybe i will again...I've played all 3 realms to 50, basically been there done that like everyone else that has played. It still draws me back , especially on a a rainy movie day.
These are my top 5, although there could be a top 50 im sure:
1. King Arthur (2004)
- Great story, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Directed Antoine Fuqua. Basically , when I first seen this, I thought the Writers must have played Dark Age .. all 3 realms , epic battles and the acting did not bother me too much. Oh and Keira Knightley as Guinevere ... nice.
2. Boondock Saints (1999)
- I think its the Irish in me. What catches me most from this movie is the opening music.. all about Emain
3. Excalibur (1981)
- As hard as it is to follow the movie's story line, as soon as the song "O Fortuna" is played, it makes mediocre scrapes turn into epic battles. A crazy wizard, full plate armour and some early acting by some big names, makes this one of my favorite 80's movies. It also gives me a bit of Alb Nostalgia ...
4. 13th Warrior (1999)
- A book made to film ("Eaters of the Dead" by Michael Crichton). I have yet to read it, hopefully one day. If i watch this movie on in the late fall or early winter, with a good mix of Rye , I have the urge to resub my Mid. "OOOO-DIN!"
5. Any Kevin Smith Film
- Basically when Dark Age first came out and untill 2004 I lived a great college lifestyle. Still try to. Between pubs/clubs, partying and sports, Kevin Smith owned my TV with "Dogma" (1999), "Mallrats" (1995), "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" (2001) and my favotire, "Clerks" (1994). While I was gaming , I threw a Smith movie on and off to the realms in a puff of smoke (so to speak). I think I graduated in there somewhere...
Anyway that is my personal list. I am bored outta my mind on this new holiday here , so i thought i'd through something up. Feel free to Critic or add, idc.
Cheers!!

13th Warrior is one of my favorites... ever. I just like the movie and wish they made more of them like it.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
All them movies are fantastic!
My favorite that sticks out the most is Excalibur (1981) a movie far beyond its time, this movie by far has the best Visual Armor off all the the knight movies. To me this movie depicted visually what knights, castles, dark magic and sieging were all about.
What was also cool you got to see younger versions of Liam Neeson (Gawain) , Gabriel Byrne (Uther Pendragon) and Patrick Stewart (Leondegrance) playing some popular knights.
Good Stuff!
