PVE, good crafting and solo content... Am i looking for too much ?

MobidoyMobidoy Member Posts: 26

The games i have played: UO, EQ, EQII, Ascheron's Call, WoW, and some F2P.

I really enjoy UO for the ability to play solo and the way you could change your skills. The crafting system was something that i enjoyed.

AC was another one that i enjoyed for the same reason but it lacked the crafting.

I dont care if it is 2d or 3d as long as i can play on my own when i want too. I dont always have 2+ hours so, waiting on a group is a problem. If i dont feel like fighting, i want to be able to go on ressources gathering or, crafting weapon/armor that i will use or, go fishing (or other similar minigames.)

I never pvp so it is not a factor.

Am i asking for too much ?

Fallen Earth (more PvE i believe) or Earthrise (more PvP i believe) may be what you are looking for when they are released (hopefully this year sometime). Could try Vanguard now its got the free trial island.

I'm going to have to recommend LotRO its not everything your asking for but its most, you can solo, the crafting is decent, Plenty of good PvE content. Overall its a good game, their is a free trial i recommend you try it.

I forgot to mention that i did try LOTRO, twice... Dont know why but i never got hooked. I have also tried Vanguard but sadly, i had problems running it on my system... Unless they made it run smoother on system with experience and wisdom ( old computer), i wont be able to try it again.

Vanguard has all those things, in a manner. It does depend when you last tried it. I know they've made some adjustments to the game as far as older systems being able to run it. In the end though I can't say for sure. I used to love the game, had great potential but I don't see it becomming the gem it could have been.  All I can recommend is just get out there and try out those free trials or obtain a buddy key, maybe you'll find a hidden gem that you can get into.

I'm actually in the same boat as you. I like PVP, so we're different when it comes to that but I haven't been able to find a game to cement me in my chair like they used to. Jumping between WoW, WAR, AoC, LOTRO and a few others, nothing can keep me for over a few months at a time before I need a month off.

Good luck with your search, hope you find something you enjoy.

I recently returned to runescape (my first MMO) and it has everything your looking for. PvP gives no advantages in PVE content, if you dont want to fight, then theres many other skills to do, though leveling can be a big pain once you pass 60+

Currently restarting World of Warcraft :/
