Im just wondering is there anything that gimps you in the game cuz I saw that guy with heavy armor on that can cast spells and shoot arrows as well have a huge ass glave or whatever that was. He seemed to to everything well. I like the idea of no classes but there has to be something holding people back from just being a bad ass jack of all trades.
Will there be advantages if you wear light armor for being a ranged fighter? WIll you run faster?
Will heavy armor make your spells fail more often? or Make you attack slower and shoot arrows slower compared to a person in light armor?
I don't even know who that clan is you guys fought, but you seemed fairly organized and I think I'd enjoy fighting you sometime. Come siege the Hyperion city; I hear those guys have a lot of loot just asking to be taken from them.
Damn, the servers are down and now I'm all pumped to hunt down some SUN.

Nice video. Finally a game that can pick up where old UO left.
This game is no where near as in depth as UO was. In fact, It is a hollow shell of what UO was and still is today.
meh plenty of room for improvemeant and deapth can be added pretty easly after release which im positive they will do . i only played uo on aprivate server but form what i cant tell darkfall is close just needs abit mroe things i would say
6 years of development, not delays for them to get this initial "finsihed" product out, and you're counting on speedy improvement and depth to be added to the game?
I'm sure you don't need me to explain by now that the game's initial release date was set for 2003, and the game was in "development" for years even before that. But if it makes you sleep better, then fine, "6 additional unforecasted years of development"...rehardless, I wouldn't hold my breath for updates, let alone an expansion this decade (or the first half of the next one)

Either you're not in beta and therefore have absolutely no idea how effecient Aventurine has been at creating/fixing context for months now, or you're in beta and got your royal carebearness handed to you so you now troll instead.

Lol at "PvP movie"... PvP is Player vs. Player. Not 10 people running after one guy for 3 miniutes. Its WoW PvP all over again except all the combat is a mixed in with some FPS.
No Darkfall isn't like that Zombie. It's an environment in which the strong survive, and risk everything all the time whilst doing so. It is a game wrought with real emotion, unlike WoW. You soon learn not to value your gear (gear does matter) because it can quickly be lost. Prey can become the predator. Imagine losing your guild city, one that took a huge amount of manpower to build up. This game rocks and no game on the market comes close.
P.S. It is a little rough around the edges but those issues are ones easily polished to shine.
10 guys chasing 1 doesn't sound like they're risking much. In fact, seems a fitting example of a gankfest.

they may have been working on "context"...but how much content have they actually "added"? They are still missing a boatload a features still advertised to this day on their website. It's not trolling if it's the truth.

except it took them 5 minutes to do it...so basically one guy got 10 other people to waste 5 minutes of their lives running. That's better than killing someone and making them run back from their respawn. The winner in that video is the guy being chased imo.

they may have been working on "context"...but how much content have they actually "added"? They are still missing a boatload a features still advertised to this day on their website. It's not trolling if it's the truth.
Uh, if you've been using their website for info about release details, then you've been horribly misinformed. They've stated for a long time now how horribly outdated that is, and they sadly have never fixed it. That site was seriously oudated way before beta. What exactly is not in that was promised? Prestige classes? Player houses?
Now how about what is in? Clan hamlets, cities, keeps, warhulks, ships, exhaustive crafting trees, most NPC, half of the mob spawns (they have massively been updating these last two pretty much daily). All the endgame content is in, except tabards and the tiny little collections of player houses. When they've got massive keeps working how hard is it going to be to add houses with their locations already all predetermined?
Note: I assume the warhulks and larger ships function, though I have not personally tested these. All the basic mechanics are in-place to use them, but I don't think anyone has quite built them yet, though many are on the verge.
Come back to me with a list of the lies that Aventurine released about what they were going to have in this game, and I'll shoot back with your lack of reading comprehension for missing obscure threads explaining that those features were removed several months ago and the site never updated, or I'll easily counter with a larger list of core features working very well in the beta right now. Yes, some things didn't make the beta. Yes, they certainly used a liberal definition of "feature complete" when describing their product at a few points in history. Is that your grand claim to vaporware status? By that definition every MMO ever released is vaporware I think.
The fact is: this game works, most of the core features are working better than expected, and a lot of testers are having fun playing this game. Also, contrary to the trolls who frequent these forums, this game visually looks better and functions better than any other MMO I've played on the market (and most single-player games too) with these same mechanics. The only rival in graphics/performance I can even think of is Eve, and considering the world/models are far more numerous and varied in DFO, I'd say it comes out a bit ahead there.

I have never, in any post I've ever made about DF, used the term vapourware. It's simply a game with a minutia of the features advertised (if you want to use the excuse that only website they have dedicated to the game is inconsequential and mean nothing...then you're proving my point already about their ineptidude and lack of care for the game). It's an incomplete game, not the game that has been hyped for the past years, and while there are some people just so delusional that they're forcing themselves to be happy with SOMETHING...then bravo, I'm glad you're happy. But your spin, however verbose, is lost on anyone that has any semblace of intelligence.

This is bang on. DF is just so shallow, wait and see when it goes live, thats if you can get a copy. It will go the way of Mordred server on DAOC, within a year. This is my prediction, save it and remind me in a year:)
Great video, and for people to understand how big AGON is they could have kept sprinting (in straight line) for atleast 2 hours more without hitting shore.... then svim for hours..... But of Stamina drain makes it you cant sprint forever.

I never said I agreed with their outdated website, and thought it was good marketing. I don't. But it's funny that you low IQ trolls come here to complain about a site you know has been inaccurate for a very long time and then don't even get specific about what features the game fails to deliver. You're all just making blanket statements about something everyone who has even partially followed this game has known for years. The website is shit and out-of-date. At least be honest and just say their website sucks, not that it's some elaborate effort to falsely advertise their product.

Maybe not as deep *yet*, but then we haven't yet seen player-built cities.
DF is a hell of a lot more FUN though.
That was the most boring gameplay ever.
But nice graphics.
It's fun in the end DFO is a game with great graphics and bad gameplay

Graphics are horrible, movement seems out of sync, animation if far less than the average MMO in todays market.
Im glad DF is a _niche_ game and will not have much of a sub base so i dont expet this poor excuse of an MMO to be around very long!
I still think for a game that has the amount of years spent in development like DF its a sad state!
10 print "go home"
20 goto 10
I dont mind the graphics but look how each batch of flora pops out of nowhere as you move forward, that cant be uglier.

Heh priceless!
Thanks for letting me know how amazing this game really is.
I felt time went backwards and thought i was looking at a game video from 1999.
Barren bland wasteland.
uninspiring environment.
bad animations
horrible graphical effects
Looking at everyone chasing that poor guy spamming only arrows and blue orbs makes me feel like crying.
I cant shake off that "retro" feeling looking at the video. No way i am paying a mthy fee for this "OLD" game.
/phew....

Yeah... cause in UO you could run for 10 mins through a forest without seeing a single monster, animal or npc
Watch that video again and but look around at the world instead of the "Chase" and you will get an idea of what much what of Darkfall is like.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass... and Im all out of bubble gum

Imo however that was a bloody awful example of pvp. That has put me off this game more than any vid I've seen so far. Good quality though.
