You have reached the final destination, trolls.
Your last stand includes the frase "11.77 eur A MONTH! This should be F2P!!" there really isn't much to add to that ;-) apart from the fact that we most likely won't be seeing you ingame since you obviously can't afford it.
To all the trolls out there, option one in my sig won.
Thank you and goodbye.
Im off to play the beta until the 25th!

I'll be the first to admit, in front of the whole DF community, that the NDA lift and the many leaks that followed have caused my opinions to chang... stay exactly the same.

well that is entirely your prerogative!

I just love how the trolls where screaming about the NDA not 30 minutes before it dropped.
As if it matters, now we know most ppl love the game, even those that are critical say the game is good in essence.

I can understand that people are excited because of the NDA drop and there is an influx of information, most of which we knew from other sources anyway. However, eventhough some may consider this NDA drop as a victory, the state of the game has not changed. It is still very much unfinished and needs lots of work.
However, if you are happy with playing a subpar game, who am I to tell you otherwise? We all have our own tastes and needs.
My beef is not really with Darkfall, as I've been a fan of open-ended MMOs for a long time, it is with the company making it. Aventurine took such a great concept and implemented it half-assed.
Besides that, I am weary of giving them my credit card information. Not because I think that it's a scam but because I'm not sure if they are secure enough to prevent identity theft.
Nileq, NDA being lifted and the 'release' being imminent does not mean a guaranteed "The game will be good, and we will have a great game to play for years".
We still have to see how the long term game play and endgame will be. Let's wait with handing out final verdicts for about three months or so.
My brand new bloggity blog.
30 minutes or not, system requirements, pricing and availability should have been known months ago. While the NDA thing is iffy and some games even launched with it intact, they did cut it a little close to release in my opinion.
While it looks like DF is gonna be released, its still too early to claim victory. Vaporware trolls should be shushed (although some of them would still claim DF to be vapor, I guess they have a twisted definition of the term), we should exercise caution and wait for a few months after the release.
I must admit things are looking on the bright side, even though it looks like the game is not completely ready, it is fairly stable and definitely not vapor. Aventurine has redeemed itself a little bit in my eyes, but I am still very much sceptical - I can't just dismiss previous company history and their dealings. My hopes are up for DF, I hope to see DF released soon.

I am actually playing the game, and have been for quite a while. I am only saying what I have wanted (but been unable) to say. Because I have first hand knowledge of the game.
My forumfall nick is gloomis and it has the tag "beta tester" under it, what is yours?

Why are you gloating at the fact that it took this long for aventurine to lift NDA? Not like they promised to lift NDA just yesterday. In fact, you, as a fan, should be embarassed that it took this long to lift NDA. I know i am.

As I said, as if it matters. Its not like we didn't have hundreds of leaks telling us the same thing we now know. With the NDA down ppl can no longer claim the leaks where lies.
Not to be to agressive, but ive never seen a game that releases system specs months before release, simply because of the proccess they have to go throu to arrive at a minimum recomended.
NDA yeah, but they chose not to, its different, u might not like it, but its their company, at the end of the day the only thing that really matters is if the game is good.
After all the NDA dropping by itself means nothing, but what it showed us is what its all about.
Like Truly High def videos showing the actual graphics of the game are nowhere NEAR as bad as some people would have us believe.

I am not exited about the NDA drop! Since I am already playing; You are right about the end-game content, it has not been tested fully to my knowledge, I personally think Aventurine have pulled of a heck of a job, and I was have been impressed with the patches, so I am confident that they will pull off end-game content too.
The trolls have been spewing shit like there where no tomorrow, about graphics, about small company not being able to make an mmo, about it all being a scam, the second DnL.
The list goes on.,.

for example i consider the game ready for release when it is playable because in all MMO there are allot of things to add/balance after release.

Everyone has their own opinion. You seem to think that the game is great, I think that it has the potential to be great but isn't at this point.
I guess we'll find out on the 25th if the majority of the people actually like the game when the masses get access to it and not just the fans.

Yup it does, and trust me I dont need to look at graphics and animations to be hugely dissapointed with how the game turned out when there's terrible design decisions I can get mad at.

"heartless critically hits the point with well put argument"
My thoughts exactly! I'm a big fan of the game (otherwise i wouldn't post here), but I am not a big fan of the company behind it. I'm very much puzzled by people who claim victory because NDA was lifted. If anything, the company should be criticized that it took them this long to lift NDA and takes this long to make a game. Sure, indie company, not a lot of money, but still, 8 years?
In reality, its not about how much money you have, its about how resourcefull you are. We've seen big companies with big money flop. Why? Because their system overall is not efficient. Good QA, solid middle management, decent programming and good administrators. If you lack in some or all of those, then money or no money, the development time will increase by a certain percentage and chances of failure drastically increase.
Good post.

My comments are in green.
Id even say wait at least 3 months after release, lets see how many people buy the game, taste it, and then leave or stay. If after 3 months the pop keeps increasing then it is doing great. If not, well, its not doing that great.

I think you will have to give it more than 3 months, it is damn harsh and many people will find it not to their liking and will quit.
After 6 months we might begin to see a stable DFO-subscriberbase.
Many e-peens will be broken before that ;-)

None may deny the truth of it and that is that ,asides from numbers ,patience and time separate the winners from the losers in more than one occasions as history has shown us; 3 months time are gonna be a good indicator of the game's status ,six months is the ideal time IMO,for someone to tell whether or not the game is worth playing if one can wait that long !
Given the current state of the game personally i will wait 6 months before i decide to play but that's just me; so every person should make up their own mind based on their own opinion, perception, experiences and understanding of the game and not somebody elses whether that persons opinion is "teh game suxxorz" or "teh game pwnzor"............
Iiii-iiiiiit's.... me!!! *Hooray*

What MMO has ever released in a more public-ready state than current DFO beta? What specifically is so very not ready?
