Hum hum may i have your attention please?
Well i hope ther is a solution for this problem:my connection speed is 4mb, not to shubby i can say.
lately (over7 months) my connection speed would just somtimes slow down,about -100kbites when downloading,this can be verey frustrating when you are downloading somthing at the speed of 140kbites i tryed seeing if its beacuase of any overloade on the servers,but as i was cheking i found out that evrything was slowd down even youtube vedios..........
Of course i calld the TECH" support,and well they said evreything seems to be working good,and it could be i dident close some programes that use your internet as:Emule,bittorent,skype,msn...........
So i restarted my computer closed evreything and opend youtube,same slow speed,at this point im verey angrey i calld my freind that uses the same internet provider and has 1.5mb of internet connection speed and i surprisly found out it loads just fine for him.
He told me it could be some one is using you internet connection,now the sudden slow downs of my connection speed seem verey logical,the only question left is:
Is it possible to use others connection speed,and if yes how to protect your slef?
BTW im using a modem.

Absolutely they could. Especially if you haven't properly protected yourself. Give some simple info first. What kind of setup are you using? Wired or wireless? Router or no?
im using a modem that is connected to the computer, and ther is another cabel connected near the phone.

also, are you in an apartment complex or a single family home? believe it or not, all these things can make a big difference. expecially when trying to diagnose speeds.
its naer the phone and yes im living in an apartment complex.

you still didnt answer if it is a phone line cable going into the modem or not. however living in an apartment complex, you may have old cable lines coming into the building (if its comcast, or some other cable company based internet service). If thats the case, then you'll need to contact them directly and likely have a letter from your landlord stating its ok, if they come and rewire the apartment. good luck with this as ive had to get kinda "snippy" on the phone with comcast before to have them come replace the lines into the apartment i lived in.
If its DSL, (youll see a phone line like cable coming out of the wall and going into the modem. then you may have a slew of various other things that could be wrong.
The biggest question is, do you have other people in the same apartment complex as you that are getting better speeds? or does everyone in your building that has the same internet as you do all get slow speeds?
Yes im using DSL,and i dont really know what is my neighbors speed. anyway i have searchd the network while chatting with you and found quite alot of programs that claim to protect your connection, and im using one of them wile we are speaking, it seems to do it work quit well (downloading a game with 400-450 kbites per sec) thenx anyway!!
