Is Darkfall finally getting moved to the Released Games section today? I see everywhere on this site Feb 25th is the day.

    They don't necessarily make changes to the web site listings on launch day. But you could put a post in the suggestion forum.

    Sorry, I know this will be taken as a troll post but, everything even slightly negative is, so what the heck.

    This game isn't released.

    The game is currently in PAID beta. It's unusual, but that's what it is.

    Released games are available to the PUBLIC. People can purchase them, create accounts and at least attempt to logon and play. You cannot do that with Darkfall in it's present state. It is a LIMITED release but really a paid beta of sorts.

    I've never seen anything like it. I remember the fanbois ramming the Audio Visual publisher down our throats when in the end Audio Visual is NOT even a part of this game in any way.

    Then I was constantly told about the company that would HOUSE the server farm. But, that wasn't true either.

    And lest we forget all the fanbois preaching to us about "You will be able to try the game BEFORE you buy!" What happened to that? Now it seems you are only getting to TRY the game IF you buy.

    Doesn't matter. It is what it is.

    A paid beta test.

    I'll believe darkfall is released when I am able to log in. Till then its vaporware :P

    It must be completely released, available to everyone for it to be moved.

    This is not unique to Darkfall.

    TCoS is released in europe already for some time, but still is in games under development section. Because so far it is only available in europe.

    Aion is released already in Korea and China, but will not be released to europe and US until the 4th quarter this year, so Aion will stay in under development section for quite a while longer. Because it still is under development, translating the whole game.

    Darkfall is only released to people who pre-ordered. Until you can get Darkfall without pre-ordering, it will remain in games under development. Wich makes sense, since the system for account maintenance and actually logging on is as much a part of an mmorpg as actually playing the game.

    Bottom line:

    Darkfall will still be under development for quite some time. The player base just increased quite a bit since the beta.
