Easy fix for this,yeah it screws up the install but all you have to do is find the folder it saved the update to and re-run the updater exe it patches and fixes everything.
Dont run the launcher when doing this,the launcher running causes the problem.
I put this in another forum but it kinda disapeared so Ill throw it in here. Are we 100% sure that the patch deleting the game is a virus? Given the companys track record it could just be a way to get you all scratching your heads while they make a quick escape
If that was the case, then why accept less money from pre-orders than what you spent? Oh wait, I know, now that they have your CC they can just sell it to russian, chinese, japanese, mexican, romanian, croatian, thai, etc.... gangs for a big lump sum... hm.... I need to try this...

You may have to wait for a little while at the agreement before continuing (about 30-60 seconds) and it should say updates are there, otherwise check your updater configuration that should be found through the start menu.
The patch is now downloading for me too, going between 120 and 250kilobytes per second, the total size is 126 megabyte.
It deletes the launcher fools. It is supposed to install a new launcher but it doesnt. If you are smart you could figure out how to fix it.

Anyone who has already downloaded/updated 1034, did you get an error midway saying "not enough disk space, have atleast 9gb in drive?" Even though I clearly have over 15GB it's still giving me that error and I'm unable to complete the 1034 install.
9gb is needed on system drive.. .. even if the game is installed on different drive.kind of retarted...had to remove some of the apps so i can install the freaking patch

I just typed in http://www.eu1.darkfallonline.com/dl/Darkfall_1034.exe and finally got it to download without timing out!

My downloaded the 1034 patch with no problems, installed also with no problems. Took about 10 minutes in total.

Actually, you can move your swap file to your larger drive and that will solve the problem. The patch apparently needs a 9 gb swap.
