getting booted in human starter area, client crashes then wont reload....

i get booted from the game in the human starter area on my character, some friends of mine are having the same problem, and then we cant log back in on our characters, we have to delete them and start over... this sucks.. anyone else having the same problem???

Yes.  It happenned to me every time I chose a starting area other than the default. So choose the default starting area.

i did that last time and then when i just entered the default area, hours into play, i crashed.. wtf

now i cant log back on..

There's a bug reporting tool in the Darkfall folder.  Use it.  You may also wish to consider contacting support@aventurine.gr

Alternatively, you could make a thread about it on MMORPG.com; I hear the devs check this forum regularly.

proof of this? the fact that the devs are actually reading these forums that is.......

cause as far as i can tell....they pretty much left you all high and dry.

ive reported the bug both those ways, and since our official forums are "down" this is the only forums to post on.

they need to get their shit together

oh yeah, ive had to change my damn name 3 times, wtf is up with that...

they need to address this.

some of us have guilds to run and need to get everything in order for our clan cities and we are being jerked around right now

Reading forums is part of DF debug mode.

There have been some serious misteps.  I feel sorry most for those who scheduled time off work for the launch.  I'm sure there next milestone is to have the major issues solved by the weekend.

This crash from client bug is all too well known now, and there is absolutely no fix to it.  The product is broken, bottom line.

 

Best thing to do is bug report it to support@aventurine.gr and use the bug reporting tool...but aventurine doesnt have a good track-record of responsiveness or communication, I think.

It seems that the server has no "place" to put you especially since the game has character collision. Did you try another race?

This reminds of an old Ultima bug where you were about to die, you decided to recall and then suddenly a message popped saying : "This spot is occupied".

I dont want another race, nor do I, personally want to throw-away the character development I have vested already and start over.
