Any EQ vets out there that can help me with a slight problem? (EQ2 related)

Hey all, I am coming from FFXI (PC) where I used a contoller and loved it.  As a matter of fact I probably wouldn't have played if I had to use the keyboard.  Now I know I won't be able to use a controller in EQ2 and I need some help with the keyboard layout.

Now I know you can customize the keyboard in EQ2, unlike FFXI...well I downloaded the 30 day trial of EQ and I hate the key controls.  I have an ergonomic keyboard and having to move with the arrow keys absolutely stinks. 

If someone can give me a good, comfortable keyboard layout, I'd apreciate it very much.

 

P.S.  >>>  I know         keyboard + mouse  > controller

In EQ you could move with the mouse iirc. You ran with the right mouse button and if you kept the left one pressed you could steer with the mouse.

Actually you have more options than you might realize. There have been many controllerrs released for ppl with the same problem as yours. I can give you some quick examples that I found on the net for you.

There are too many to list here... these are just a few i found by doing a search for ya. I would pick one that was compatible with creating shortcuts and hotbuttons in a simliar way that windows does. This way when playing eq2 the controller could do an action by pressing 1 button that would normally mean pressing a few keys in a certain order.
