PROJECT MAJOR (THIS MMORPG WOULD BE SOOOO COOL)!

Ok... I am Lionlegs, and I am a MMORPG fanatic . Unfortunately Runescape (my first MMORPG), got a bit BOOOOOOORING, and so... I looked for others. I can't find what I am looking for... So I am suggesting a new MMORPG. Ok here is the basics of my plan:

Medieval MMORPG, good graphics (3d) no guns. The melee weapons are: Dagger, short sword, long sword, rapier, 2 handed sword, spear, halberd, battle axe, woodcutter's axe (hatchet), cutlass, sickle, scythe, warhammer, battle sword (sword and battleaxe).

Archery weapons: Bows+arrow, Crossbow+bolt, Balista(costs a lot)+ball, Catapult(costs same as balista)+ball, darts, javelins, throwing axes, disks, throwing knives, things (I don't know the name for them, but they are pieces of rock attached to a small bit of chain).

Mage weapons: Staff of *every element*, life, death and nature. Powder, bottled fairies (ok, I copied that from Zelda), summon rings + summon stones (rings last for ever, unless they break, stones are 1-use). 

Races (nothing complecated): Dwarf, Elf, Human, Giant, Ogre, Troll, Pixie (can fly). Dwarf is 1/2 size of Human, Human and Elf are the same size; Giant, Ogre and Troll twice the size of humans. Pixie 1/4 size of human.

Each race has advantages - i.e. Dwarves good at crafting, mining and smithing, bad at agility; Elves good at archery and swordplay, not much strength though; Humans average at everything; Giant, Ogre, Troll all have high strength but low intellegence, Pixie has good agility, but very weak.

Horses: mounted riding is VITAL to a good game - they can trained to be faster, stronger, more endurant ETC.

Houses and carpentry: Being able to own a house, to live in it and build items for it, chairs, tables, cupboards (for storing items when your bank is full), being able to have a farm and grow crops, etc.

Unfortunately, I do not know ANYTHING about MMORPG making, but if someone maybe wanted to help, I am sure if we worked at it, it would be worth our while in the future.

Just one tip, not a flame.  You may want to drop the cannons since they are fired in the same manner as guns and you don't want guns.

ok.... ummmm I'm trying to make this NOT sound like a flame... But it's hard for it not to... But beleive me its no flame...

OK.... number 1.... Why does this game sound like every single other clone mmorpg? if you're waiting for a cookie cutter mmorpg... just wait for the best of 'em EQ2... dont try to build your own...

number 2.... IF you do go ahead with making your own MMORPG... why do you want it to be soooo cliche? Why do dwarves have to be good at smithing, why do elves have to be weak? why do Ogres have to be stupid (lacking in intelligence) If you really want to make a game.. make something different or unique... The races don't have to be complicated.....

number 3.... Learn about neccessary stuff first then you can ask others to join...at least get the basics... You dont want to be a lacky in your own project do you?

number 4 good luck... I wish you the best in your endevour.. cuz... this business can be a Stitch...

I like pixies... those are neat.  I forget what MMORPG has them... I know something does.

As Methane47 explained,  just find out what people want... not what's already out there.  Figure out what's broken, and YOU fix it in YOUR game.

Being a MMORPG fanatic i should have thought you wold know a little bit more about games, especially since you dont even have the slightest in original ideas there. Thats exactly like every other MMORPG coming out or on the market.

 It just seems like you gave the items and races really... To be honest, if you are trying to get somebody to work for your game you might need a storyline or something. Maybe give some features the game has to offer.

Yeah.... Nowadays.. people are tired of all the cookie cutter crap... Come up with some original stuff then post and we will tell you if its feasable... and if its good..

Why isn't anyone making a MMORPG about ninja's and samuari?? That would REALY be cool

I do find that this project you are mentioning consist of several games combined... except for the fairy character..

The Best thing about the future is that it comes only one day at a time.
